I hope so! I have wondered why there are no Polearm weapons and a “spear” is strictly an aquatic weapon.

Also, a trident is a type of spear.

It’s just a spear, most probably. The Preview doesn’t put you in water, unfortunately…

I know it seems like an harpoon, but in the description says Polearm =/

I read on the forums (so by no means is it confirmed) that new weapon classes would be introduced, and the battleaxe is on its way (2h-axe). I very much doubt they would bring in one new weapon type so it wouldnt surprise me if the polearm was another.
