Poll: Dueling Yay or Nay ?
Why isn’t this in the game? Is there a reason that we should know? We still have 1v1 in pvp maps let us /duel or right click portrait to enable a duel. Also I agree make it only in designated areas of Heart of the mists. Maybe wvw to test our pve build?

No on Open-World dueling. Keep PvP in PvP areas.
Edit: Though I thought it was clear….no for Open-World, fine in PvP areas.

It doesn’t really matter how many people likes dueling.
The game’s skill and skill balance are simply not designed for it.
Anyone who wants dueling can go to the Obsidian Sanctum to use PvE gear and custom arenas setting 1vs1 for PvP gear.
No on Open-World dueling. Keep PvP in PvP areas.

At OP, I orginally thought the solo arena was dueling. I found it odd that it wasnt. paticularly as you can join team arena without having a team.
I don’t see why they couldn’t add a “dueling” arena. (however don’t have it count for tournament…as classes aren’t well balanced for 1v1. allow for equal exp earned whether you win or lose, and take away all those annoying point captures.
I wish they had arenas without them actually, just head on fight of 5v5, when one team is dead, the match is over, no respawning etc. That would be great <3)

But .. that gives them again reasons to create whine thread all the time that class x is overpowered and needed to be nerfed into the ground whenever they loose a duel with another class.
So .. even more fun we would get out of that.

I would like to point out, if you made dueling ONLY available in WvW, that would be a bad idea. There is already the issue of GvG taking away from the war effort. I would hate to not be able to get into WvW because the queue is full of people utilizing the only area to duel.

I voted for the “Mist” option, but there could be different designated arenas for this – think about the bane.
