I’ll be honest, I complain about the game all the kitten time.

Don’t get me wrong the game is great but some of the balance, design, and bugs is just tedious. Some of the bugs in the game have been around since betas….

You act as if you’re really interested in what people’s opinions are, but two of the options require you to have been playing WoW or play TF2. Those are irrelevant.

Yeah, don’t post polls here expecting reliable results. You may notice this forum is very polarized. Also, what’s up with your last option, “I play TF2”? That makes no sense.

I was just trying to make the most favorable option a little more interesting. It doesn’t require you to have played WoW.
As for the TF2 one, it’s completely irrelevant yeah. I just felt like it. It doesn’t hurt anything.

Having to wait until level 50 just to get a single adept trait you should already have to start with is fine? The trait rework completely destroyed my drive to create alts, it single-handedly made it boring and tedious to level up. It also destroyed my drive to play Guild Wars 2 as much as I used to because it’s either grind skill points and gold or do world completion for the 10+ time (not joking on that) just to unlock traits on an alt.

All I have at endgame now is WvW (which gets stale with the same matchups) and the Living Story. That’s it, there’s nothing else keeping me in this game. During the tournament after the change I took a 5 week sabatical from the game because it was the same matchups over and over again, and there was no living story to keep me playing.

Before the trait rework I was making alts for use in WvW and various parts of the game constantly, because I had fun making them. Now it’s not fun to alt, this game has gone from incredibly fun to barely tolerable (when no living story is available).

1. The new trait system needs to be fixed: too many traits are unlocked in areas that you can’t do at the level you should get access to them
2. not enough skills: being stuck with only 2-5 skills per weapon is limiting builds. If they gave us just double what we have now(10 for 2-handed, 6 for 1-handed, and 4 for offhand) we could have more than 1 meta-build per profession

I’d love to see more weapon skills added to the game, allowing us to swap them out the same way we swap out utility skills.

It’s really unlikely Anet will change these anytime soon. Meanwhile, this works:

Level to 80 in EoTM before you really start to play your toon.

This kind of a question/poll is more appropriate in the specific game type sub-forums. You’ll likely get a lot less “yes” votes in the wvw and pvp subs than you would from the general population.

Sampling is flawed, but other than implementing a in-game poll we don’t have any means of ensuring representation within the sample. Firstly it’s on the forums and not everyone goes to the forums, secondly it’s optional (a blessing and a curse) so you’ll only draw people who feel strongly enough to actually provide their opinion (and dislike is a pretty strong motivator).
But it might still be interesting, at the very least it gives us an idea of how people on this forum feel (even if we can’t generalize that to the entire community).

EDIT: looking at your questionnaire you’re not allowing for variety of opinion. For example there’s no option for people who are satisfied with no opinion ether way. You go straight from Awesome to slightly disappointed. So not is the sampling unrepresentative but the questionnaire is also inherently biased.

It’s not biased. How many versions of “I love this game so much” would you like?
There’s one people can choose if it’s their all-time favorite, one if they love it but it’s not their favorite, one if they tried it and bored due to lack of content/whatnot, and one if they hate it.
Like I said, it was not intended to be perfect. It was supposed to give an overview of the forum population because there’s no where else to do it.

Look, I agree with you, and I actually voted that I’m not as happy with the game as I ever thought I would be, but I have to agree with their statements.

The votes are obviously set up with an undertone of biased agenda. If you want people to take a poll like this seriously you would need to make the scale as plain as possible.

I honestly don’t see how it’s biased. It was not my intention to make it biased.
The questions are steadily declining in satisfaction.

it has gone up slightly, its currently 57 to 67%
my method for finding the average is to sum up all the votes, multiply them, then divide by the number of votes, pretty standard method for averaging. However maybe i messed up.

also, when i look at where the middle player stands(currently 48), its currently in the 60-70 range.
