Poor reward system for snowball mayhem
Agreed. I love Mayhem but the rewards are crap.
for the amnt of time spent + not guarenteed a reward (if ur team loses) it def should have a higher # of gifts rewarded.
at worst, a loss could reward 1/2 to 3/4 the gifts of a full choir set, w/ a win 5/4 to double at best. best would include gift deposits, worst is a loss w/ no gift depos

Yeah, the rewards are crap – in former years there were additional pvp chests – that was better.

Don’t hold your breath, Snowball Mayhem has always been terrible for gifts, it wasn’t brought up to parity with the other events last year or this year, so you have a snowball’s chance in hell it’ll be next year.

Well, I got my spark from the pvp chests – so I’m good for eternity, I guess
Compare it to bell choir where u can get 18 gifts per 5 minutes easily to the snowball average 8 minutes for maximal 8 gifts.

I don’t see why they can’t balance all wintersday activities to give equal rewards and then let the players do what they enjoy
Well, they obviously want everyone to just do the jumping puzzle, since getting good at the JP will get the players a lot more presents than even the bell choir.
Guys, why so hate…in this world of honey and milk we have awesome rewards, heck when you get an exotic worth of 70 silver every 300-400h played you will be so happy like you got an precursor. Even rares drop like 1 every 15h. This is awesome, everything is awesome, and you might even get precursor after 123999h played, so play it every day, 24h if needed believe in luck dont give up.

I agree. I like doing the Snowball Mayhem and wouldn’t mind doing it to finish the Festive Imbiber achievement. I find Bell’s Choir and JP to be very tedious, which is why I don’t feel like doing them. Please buff Mayhem rewards.
And now the arenas are empty. I just had to play a round 2 vs 1 and then completely alone.
It’s just ridicolous and not even worth a comment from anets side. It’s very deceiving.

well unfortunately, lots of us have limited play time. so we have to balance fun vs rewards… you’d think they’d work together but don’t. there aren’t a lot of rewards for me to enjoy playing. i’d rather play this, but rewards are so abysmal, i may as well waste my mind away in the jp, the rewards are just way way x50 better there.

Agree so much, … yet while it’s truth fun is a reward on it’s own, problem is when is paired with other more rewarding in items activities causing players to come only for the achievement wanting to deal with it the fastest possible not caring if winning or loosing… well, kinda sounds like casual fun anyways
I love the game, rewards are terrible though. Between that and the fact people leave the losing teams early means even poorer rewards for those in a less populated team makes mayhem suck so bad.
I agree also that games should have access to the same equal rewards no matter what players choose to play.
What I really found unfair to me though, is some classes traits within trait lines are never turned off in game, so thieves can stealth on dodge, 25% movement can move faster etc, while these poor classes who have to suffer basic yet important utilities as signets and kits get a really raw deal. As they get turned off due to the mayhem weapon game design . That is hardly fair to those classes reliant on utility signets and elixirs for movement buffs etc

It’s really dead now Guess everyone got his/her achievements….
so far this is my favorite pvp game mode
its ALLOT of fun and actualy balanced
