Hey,

So I recently got back into this game and I was wondering where everyone is at?I know it used to be lions arch and I’ve been to the pvp area (heart of the mists) where there were loads of people at.

Just wondering if there were any more because as well as it being interesting personally I’m also using it to convince my friends to buy the game because they think its dead :~) (I’ve already won one of them over into buying it with the pvp area).

Thanks guys and sorry if this is a useless thread !

Divinitys Reach due to the festival, otherwise megaservers tends to keep people playing in the main world rather than congregating as much as prior

As Randulf said, Divinity’s Reach, the human capital, is where a lot of people gather, festivals, trading post and banker along with guild utilities.

Other than that Heart of the Mists for PvP and some of the other capitals, I see lots in the Grove but not the talkative ones.

Actually Grove is prob the most populated capital city. Partly due to the emphasis on sylvari, partly due to the number of story steps there

I think the problem (although I actually consider it a good thing) is that there isn’t one place everyone gathers. Instead there are several places in the game you can guarantee there will be large groups of people.

A quick list, from memory:

  • The 3 spots in Lion’s Arch where there’s banks, merchants, TP agents and crafting stations
  • Rata Sum, because it’s got all of the above close together
  • The Grove, for the same reason and because some people prefer the scenery
  • Divinity’s Reach currently because of the festival
  • The Silverwastes because it’s currently one of the most profitable zones
  • Wherever a world boss is currently active, people use the timers to follow them around
  • The Edge of the Mists
  • The Heart of the Mists

Less reliably, although almost certain to have big groups at peak times:

  • Other WvW maps
  • Drytop
  • Orrian temples when there’s events running
  • Frostgorge Sound
  • Anywhere there’s a daily event completer
