Wouldn’t it be fun to be able to have a portal in Lion’s Arch, or the Hall of Monuments in Guild Wars 2 , that would allow you to port to the login screen (or even the character selection screen) of Guild Wars ? Since you can link accounts, I wonder if this could be a possibility. It looks like because of Guild Wars 2, that the population of Guild Wars is growing.

It is kind of a neat idea, but GW1 is an entirely separate game client. It would be work done with no real benefit, and potentially drawbacks. What if GW1 gets discontinued before GW2? They would then have to go back and change this again to unlink the two.
