Q:

Usefulness of this feature is very questionable. I hope you will listen to the opinions of players. Most of them who noticed it don’t like it.

actually I’d prefer a longer queue. I’m a mantra mesmer and I’d like to queue longer. But only queue one, so a second press (even just #1) would replace the other.

The usefulness is that you don’t have skills misfire because you pressed it a tiny bit too soon. it helps ensure that tactical decisions play a larger role than twitch reflexes.

nothing would be gained by removing it.

So, you think that people should focus on just timing? We can, of course, but everybody will get nothing but useless numbers in theirs heads.

Just wish they would fix engineer med kit #1 so that it didn’t get interrupted. If you hit 1 2 3 quickly to drop all of them, for self heal on the run, #1 goes on cooldown because it gets interrupted by #2.

So, you think that people should focus on just timing?

That would be the opposite of what I said.

if you activate a skill that has a 1sec casting time, and activate another skill during that time, the second skill’s activation will be queued and trigger once the first skill is finished casting.

without the skill queue, the second skill activation would simply not register as long as the first skill was not completely finished.

I’m talking about giving us option to turn it off, not about deleting this feature, because it may be helpful for new and unexperienced players.

Actually, a cancel queue bind would be nice. Sometimes I have stuff stay queued (skill flashes) after enemy is dead and it basically means whenever I’m in range of anything I can hit, I will attack and there’s no real way to stop it. (Escape, dodge, etc do not appear to cancel it.)

CutePicsHunter, you haven’t actually said -why- there should be an option to turn it off, you’ve just said you think it’s usefulness is questionable, but why is having it on detrimental to your enjoyment of the game?

I still don’t understand what your problem with it is.

How do you think the skill queue system works exactly?

Well, as Scolia said, the main problems is that you can not cancel skills which are already in skill queue, dodge for example. In PvE and WvWvW it may not be that bad, but in sPvP situation may change significally at any moment and skill queue is a problem.
