So I bought it because I wanted to show off the Icon, and I did a few runs in WvW leading people and with some success I was alright at it, but since I am not the type of person to ‘lead’ or not ‘confident’ in myself I don’t feel like I want this perk anymore. And usually I run around in PvE maps with it and it does annoy people because of this icon that always stays on their map and never leaves, thus making me feel guilty that others must be annoyed just for the sake of showing off. I just wished there were a way this would be taken from me and the 100 gold refunded, even if it means that the character must be deleted :/

I’m not sure if a refund is possible, but I’m pretty sure the Commander can disable and re-enable their icon whenever they please.

Well the thing is I don’t want it anymore and I would like my gold back because I can buy other things worth buying, such as leveling crafting.

Isn’t it strange how this capability is available for purchase using gold? It would make more sense to implement a system similar to TERA’s vanarch elections in order to obtain such an “honor.” Nothing wrong with good-old-fashioned democracy . . . right?

Yes, I just wished that tokens would have been the requirement because anybody who farmed long enough can easily buy the commanders title and lead the blind into despair, unless they knew a lot about WvW.

You dropped 100 gold on something you weren’t sure you wanted to use? That baffles me.

Anyway, you’re kinda outta luck, ANet doesn’t do item refunds.

You won’t be getting a refund, but I’m pretty sure you can turn off commander.

That said, I hope they refund everyone and rework the commander system.

I hope this does happen, but how long? Eons? lol… And if I turn it off, then what I bought is semi useless, I would like something that shows off a little bit of hard working.

change the icon to a coin and change the name to Hustler
would be a lot more appropriate since it currently has zero to do with pvp

Lol, would be an idea, but ever since I saw the legendary Zap, I just wanted it, and it will be out of my reach eventually as the prices keep fluctuating.

Hello to everybody.

Joshewwah, we are sorry to hear that. But as the other users have correctly stated, at the moment we do not make item refunds.

Thanks for your understanding.
