I’d like to gift a quaggan backpack to my gf but it seems buying it would bind it to my account.
Is there any way to make it a gif?

Currently not. If they ever add this ability they will make a lot of sales though. Perhaps in the future.

Right now maybe you could give her game gold enough to buy the gems and the backpack.

It really sucks that you cannot gift items like this. I was about to buy a friend a Quaggan Backpack as well. I guess Anet does not want my money. Giving Gems or Gold is LAME

I can understand if they don’t want them sold for profit on the Black Lion, but they could easily implement a gift option where a gem purchase is automatically sent to another players account “gift wrapped”.
