Post Patch: What do you plan to do?
Same thing I always did, including leveling alts.
This includes a bit of everything: dungeons, living story, achievement hunting, collections, hanging with my guild, WvW, even some SPvP. Open world, jumping puzzles, holiday events.
This patch hasn’t changed my play style at all.
I plan on doing the same thing I was doing before the patch.
Enjoying my time and relaxing after work and on the weekends in Tyria.
:D
I don’t raid, I barely fractal, and I suck beyond words at PvP and WvW.
But I try, and that’s what counts.
What do I plan on doing now? I think I am going to grind dungeons to finish my dungeoneer and do the rest of my collection achievements. That should keep me happy because I enjoy working towards difficult/grindy achievements. I also like that they added new titles for me to add to my collection.
PvE- Grolex (Warrior)
PvP rank: 20 Rating: 1864 (season 7)
I plan to continue doing what I was doing since I began playing with the addition of doing the new collection achievements and finally starting the quest to craft ascended armor for my Ele. The patch itself hasn’t made an affect on me (my main anyways). I will, however, try the leveling system at one point with one of my lowbie alts and and form my own personal opinion on the whole thing.
I will say though, that there were some changes I still question on Anet’s part.
(edited by Storm Toryama.2197)
I’m not greatly affected by the update, but I might just leave if they don’t fix the end portion of the personal story. There’s really no excuse for what they’ve done to it, and it kinda makes me lose faith in their ability to respect their own lore.
Play ArcheAge.
Assuming it isn’t any more of a mess than this game is, currently.
I’ll continue to play until it suits me to do otherwise. Of my 14 characters, only three are not 80, and only one is post-trait revamp/NPE (and not entirely that, as she was level 4 when NPE made its glorious debut).
Despite my dislike of the recent changes, I will continue to ride out the storm a little longer and see whether or not ANet takes this game in a better direction. I remain cautiously optimistic.
I stopped making alts (for the most part due to the April traits downgrade), but since I already have eight level 80s, I have plenty of things to do instead of wasting real money on additional character slots. For now, I’ll focus on the characters that I currently have, and work on finishing them up.
I am also considering the option of taking WvW more seriously, because I have spent very little time on those maps. I am also thinking about working on my leadership skills. I already bought the commander tag, so once I feel more comfortable with the strategy side of the game, I would like to see if I have what it takes to be a good leader.
Finish leveling my final character, a necro to 80. he’s 55. Finish leveling artificer on my necro and build some more backpacks. Finish my junk collection and possibly try others for their rewards. (I had hoped that the junk collection would have had some silly trashy backpack LOL Like a giant Hefty bag or something. oh well)
A little bit of the September wvw tournament, a little bit of gifts for my legendary…..
…..and lots of Wasteland 2
after that, who knows? I’ll still have a lot of time to kill until Camelot Unchained comes out.
Work on a new Magic deck. It’s been a few since I played. I’m thinking something along the lines of a mass destruction deck.
Leveling a mesmer for roaming in WvW. Leveling a zerker ranger for nuking anything and everything anywhere (who needs pets?). Making a legendary (maybe) as I just got venom as a drop, although IMO all legendaries should give above ground footprints at least, so I may not bother with it.
Just waiting for them to undo what they did to the story if no change I may sadly leave
Same as always, with the addition of collection hunting for more achievement points.
That, and I also plan on coming to the forums every day in a selfish, blind fury over well-intended changes that the developers spent a whole year gathering data about and iterating on, because I know way better than they do about their own game.
Wait, never mind, I’m an adult, and I have no reason to do that.
Leave if they don’t fix what they did to the personal story
Wvw and Living story the same thing i always do once you get to 80 and you find a class you like i do not get much of a reason why to re-level.
BTW AA is a trainwreck waiting to happen should be fun to watch like ESO and WS. I still do not get how ppl can hate grinding in GW2 but seems to forget there hate for it in others game mainly AA with an RNG crafting system that is both a rarely level AND combo on the crafted gear.
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)
Server : FA
Pew pew pew on my mule ranger.

> What do you plan to do?
Well I’m trying to get my account deleted, since I do not be playing it and I do not want them to rip any benefit from having this account there (like we have ABZ’XYZ people playing, you can trust us with your investements etc. etc.)
I hope this post – among others – will make them hurry up.
If this won’t help, I’m trinking about trolling/making fun of – all positive posts I find.
I will be basically saving all those poor souls from addiction and financial ruine, grindy pay-20-win games are.
I will do pretty much the same stuff that I did before.
Run fractals hoping for armor boxes.
Try to unlock the dungeon collections while enjoying my updated ranger.
Try to get the medium Glorious armor in pvp.
Level my new elementalist, she is only 17.
I just came back from a long break. Trying to get map completion on a few characters. The same thing I always do.
Roaming and raiding in WvW.

Actually this is something I recommend to everyone.
Lets fight extensive greed, ridiculous profit demands from shareholders – that have no bassis in performance/design/growth improvements, and often exceeding physical limitations (which basically mean customers & employes have to psy for the gains with their own time an money).
Way more interesting. Beneficial to society and serving as a great mean of self development.
Lets post to the hearth content, don’t get discouraged by insult throwing bullies. Together we can make this community to be community this company deserves!, I bet noone will even open this forum without stacking up on alcazeltser afterwards!!!
And the best part? It is Good. It is morally right.
You can get ACTUAL KARMA, just by making other people aware of what you did not like in this game update / policy / strategy / approch – so potential customers (wictims I like to call them) do not get decived into paying if they wouldn’t buy it, they knew what they were getting into!
Log in to unlock LS chapters or test Ranger changes while waiting for an update to the game change that removed most of my enjoyment in GW2, while spending most of my free time on other pass-times.
wvw for the tourney, but mainly destiny until they remove the blasted level caps and bring back the normal story steps (i want tonn and apatia back, and my epic fight with the legendary eye before zhaitain XD)
Well considering that the feature patch slightly improved my gameplay so that I was able to run things on medium-low, but afterwards one of the following patches borked the game to wear I get 8fps in Divinitys reach on ultra low, and an unplayable 5fps on ultra low in WvW, I will be sitting out the season, possibly the year.
Hard to say. All depends on how fast Anet pulls their head out of their @ss.
I plan to work on collections, WvW Fall tournament, and loot 5 Precursors a night.
Only two of these will happen, but I’m okay with 66%.
Post Patch: What do you plan to do?
—— away all my gold, time, or real world money like arena net wants me to?
it’s to the point where i don’t even find their content playable.. i may just take an aspirin and find a new game..
I just recovered my Guild Wars account. I never did get around to finishing Nightfall.
“The Same thing we do every Night Pinky”
Business as usual for me, and that means rolling alts. I just won’t be doing it at the frequency I was before. Unless the skill lock thing wasn’t supposed to be for vets after all.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Same as before. Key-farming, Dailies, whatever is current, map completion on other characters, nothing has changed, really.
Same as before patch. Dailies / Monthlies / Dungeons / Crafting to 500 / World Bosses / Guild stuff / Living Story. The new addition of completing collections.
I intend to continue doing what I have been for the past year; which is continue playing th game as usual; working on achievements I care about, only buy gems with gold. I have on principal not performed a cash transaction for almost a year, and won’t ever again.
Ergo; playing as usual, but not contributing financially, while still using up bandwidth.
Life is good

Same as before, this and that, here and there. Whtever im in mood for.
Oh, and Wasteland 2 is coming along Pillars of Eternity later this year. Those 2 along with GW2 should be pretty much good till next year
best statistical loot in the game. We want everyone on an equal power base.”
I’m likely to drop all of my alts that haven’t mad it into their 30s yet. This new patch effing sucks and honest to god breaks the game experience for me. I didn’t shell out over a hundred dollars just to put up with this nonsense. I plan on raising as big a stink as I can.
No one likes this change. I just…if this keeps going on much longer, the devs just sticking their fingers in their ears and ignoring their entire community, I don’t know how much longer I can be moderately nice about this. X<
BTW AA is a trainwreck waiting to happen should be fun to watch like ESO and WS. I still do not get how ppl can hate grinding in GW2 but seems to forget there hate for it in others game mainly AA with an RNG crafting system
Because ArcheAge has a lot of other things going for it that GW2 doesn’t have. Also, I don’t plan to craft max gear or even have max gear in AA. I understand that it is a completely P2W game.
I do agree that AA is a trainwreck waiting to happen unless the devs make the game more like the alpha version. I doubt it will be as bad as ESO, though. I’ve heard that ESO was a failure in almost every conceivable way.
I just recovered my Guild Wars account. I never did get around to finishing Nightfall.
Me, either. To be honest, I don’t like a lot of the missions in Nightfall. I prefer the missions in Prophecies and Factions.
Same as before. Key-farming, …nothing has changed, really.
OK, good luck with that.

Yeah. Nothing about keyfarming has changed. At all.
I dabbled a little in PvE to try out ranger and flamethrower engineer, did some sPvP until the same issues as always got me kitteny. I expect I’ll play other games mostly. I am no longer anet’s target audience, and I don’t expect to be unless there’s some sort of coup inside anet against upper management.
Same as always: grind dungeons and pvp reward tracks for skins, grind fractals for infusions/trinkets, grouse loudly about the lack of a third soldier class, wait for seasonal event skins, and grind map completion for my last four characters.
What I plan to do, I already did last night: Go back to GW1 and play through the Underworld with my guildies. Good times.

“The Same thing we do every Night Pinky”
+1 for bringing back good memories LOL! Was actually thinking about posting this myself :P
Pinky and the brain FTW!
No one likes this change.
Don’t speak for me please.
As for my plans – Well, I might roll a new alt to see what impact the changes have had, but more likely I’ll continue with my existing chars and continue exploring the world since, even on my 80 necro, I’ve probably only seen about 45% of the map so far (and only fully explored about 15% of that!).
One thing I will be doing less of though is visiting these forums. There’s only so much white noise one has to filter out to discover threads of interest (like this one) against a background of organised complaining by flouncers who threaten to ragequit every time a new announcement is made or a new patch is released and yet are still here. It gets more and more tedious every time.
I just recovered my Guild Wars account. I never did get around to finishing Nightfall.
I just got a lot of my friends I had talked into buying GW2 into buying GW1 just before the patch. Thankfully they’re now seeing why I misplaced so much faith on GW2 because they’re loving GW1, I think that’s what we’ll be doing from now on.
If you want a friend to play with I’m running a Dervish through Nightfall called Elill Majere.
Ask for IGN name if you’re looking for someone to play with.
Basically killing time until Living Story comes along.
Same as before. Key-farming, …nothing has changed, really.
OK, good luck with that.
Yeah. Nothing about keyfarming has changed. At all.
Since you have no idea how I play, your attempt to make it look like what I said was inaccurate doesn’t really work. There has been no change for me, with the exception of better rewards. Not everyone plays like you do, thank goodness for that! We are all different, have different goals, and play the way we choose with the options afforded us.
And thanks for the wishing of luck from others, as the BLTC chests give better rewards now, as well. I’m quite pleased with what I have received.

Yep, nothing about key-farming has changed…at all… for me. Perhaps, it’s a bit quicker since the characters level so fast. Not enough that I’ve really noticed. Perhaps, once I’ve done it more than 3x I will see the difference in the time it takes me to get to Level 14. Or, perhaps not. /shrug
