Here’s my Guardian! I like the banded chest piece with the Dark set armor. Got the Radiant Gloves so now she’s extra shiny!
That looks incredible. I need to make a heavy armour character!
After going through Prophecies once more, I now feel tempted to get this. coughs I’m sorry Rytlock, I love you, you know I do <3.
This is my ‘White Knight’, inspired by the PS3 series ‘White Knight Chronicles’!
Last couple are examples of swapping out the colours, seems even the garish pinks can work with it :\
(edited by cassius.5809)
It’s not as much a mismatch as I’ve take off the chest piece for this picture(cof light armour piece). The rest is a mix of cof and coe tho.
Main draw however is the effect played by the bloodseeker and the sylvari glow.
Corrupted by the power of the bloodstone anyone?;P

Man, so hard to come up with something unique after looking through all of these. So many of my pre-arranged outfits have already been nabbed. sniffle Oh well. I don’t have pics right now (at work), but when I get home I’ll pop into the pvp locker and throw my sets together to share… Since it’ll be a while before I have them all, haha.

How were you able to get the glow on the Aetherized gauntlets to be red? I thought they only came to blue… :o

It’s actually one of the dye-able options. Plain ol’ “red” looks amazingly similar to the glow on the jetpack and helps to pull the look together.
The more you play a toon the more you refine the look of it. I’m a bit of aesthetic freak as I want things to look near perfect.
After hours of mingling around with my ele and coming up with really cool designs for this forum that people have both loved and commented on – I present my current design.
Somehow this works best out of all of them, don’t ask me why…
Its a blend between light gray, celestial and illumination. The rose on my back is red and the hair color for my toon is wrath. Suits well. The little fireflies are yellow which matches my illumination.
Enjoy

That’s odd, it doesn’t have a dye-option on my male charr… Please don’t tell me that only female characters got the dye-able option??? :<
Ok so, since I don’t have all the armor for my chars for various reasons, to show my overall sets I simply opted to pop to the pvp locker and take screenies. So, my armor ‘goals’ if you will, are as follows:

Head: T3 Cultural
Shoulder: Not displayed, so doesn’t matter
Chest: Honor of the Waves
Hands: Vigil

Some dye tweaking is still necessary, but overall I’m content for the moment. Although, with the new Phoenix set, I found a couple more combinations that I like. =)

Charrs are not allowed to have nice armor options
My Charr Ranger…. Has T3 chest mixed with a Little bit of Everything… The main reason why I chose this are two. No skirt/robe – charr have cool looking legs!! And this one have no clipping issues…. That leaves me with very few options for really good looking armour…
Here’s my veggie guardian.
Helm: Zephyrite wind helmet (used to be vigil, but this one goes better with the gloves)
Shoulders: Vigil
Gloves: Radiant
Pants: Vigil (thinking about changing them for the HotW, but while I like that design better I like the fact that the vigil ones aren’t symetric)
Feet: Heritage

Best looking Charr I’ve seen. kudos.
I attempted to emulate one of my favorite characters. See if you can guess who.
The first outfit consists of (I think) the Dry Bones karma chest, Starter skirt, Embroidered gloves, Cabalist shoulders, Student shoes (off camera), and no visible helm. I’m not sure you can get more mix-n-match than this.
The second one was taken after a makeover kit was used (obviously) because I couldn’t remember if I had a screenshot of the first one.

That looks amazing.
Well, recently i made a complete makeover on what my necro was wearing.
Arah exp shoulders
HotW exp chest
Acolyte Pants
Cant find a headgear that i like tho : ( might try also HotW headpiece.
Also using the Wind catcher backpiece for the effect and gets nicely hidden by the arah shoulderss
Some pics of the newfound look of my elementalist
- Head ’n shoulders (no pun intended) and gloves are from Winged set.
- Chest and legs are from the just added phoenix set from gem store. Also the main reason why I changed my look today.
- Boots are cabalist (gotta love those fluffy balls).
Edit: The dark dye is Midnight Ice, the blue one is Starry Night. On legs there is one Dye Remover to give the feel that the leg part is transcluent.
I already got praise from this new outfit (bottom picture).

This looks awesome and I think it just goes to show just how terribly the Charr are hurt by the obsession the armor designers have with skirts and trench coats. The Charr do have awesome legs and awesome figures but they are always hidden behind some skirt or but cape type thing that looks so terrible with tail clipping and the way they have these skirts billow around their legs as a huge tent like thing. Your character looks awesome and it is so sad that the options to make a really nice looking Charr are so limited! Even most of the cultural stuff looks pretty bad.
Here’s My guardian. I feel like I need to have the sword out it to have the full effect. Mixture of Vigil and Dark armor.
Here is my super-mainstream-abyss-celestial-greatsword-wielding mesmer complete with a matching weapon.
Oh, and the main reason I’m posting is because Piper’s screeny is in the same place XD

Abyss/Celestial/Black/White/Midnight Ice don’t make something mainstream, unless you’re using them to fit in. And from I see in your unique, mix-matched armor set (that looks really good), you’re not conforming to anything, but simply satisfying your personal tastes.
The only way to avoid conformity is to do something because you want to, not because other people are doing it or not doing it.
My guardian. I usually hide my helm. But occasionally it’s fun to display it.
Here’s a breakdown of the armor pieces I’m using:
Braham’s chest, shoulders, legplates, and boots (from the gem store)
Commander’s Gauntlets (human tier 1)
Horns of the Dragon helm (from Dragon Bash)
Holographic Shattered Dragon Wings
And the dyes are as follows (left to right):
Helm — sincerity, night shade, abyss
Shoulders — abyss, sincerity, mithril
Chest — night shade, royal blue, silver, mithril
Gloves — abyss, silver, night shade
Legplates — abyss, royal blue, sincerity, mithril
Boots — night shade, mithril, sincerity
Shoulders: Arms of Koda
Gloves: Paws of Koda
Chest and Leggings: Aetherblade heavy
The dyes I used are white gold, ancient silver, and iron. White gold on the aetherblade, ancient silver on the HotW armor.
Guardian:
Shoulders and Hand is Orrian
Rest is Brahams
Colors: Celestial, Abysal and Lemon Zest
Thief:
Chest is Prototype(t3 Asura)
Rest is Vigil set
Colors: Pastel Blue, Night Shade, Pastel Honey
Ele:
Head is Acolythe Mask
Shoulders, Leg, Foots = Sorcerer (t3 human)
Chest and Hands = Winged (Crafted)
Colors: Nectar, Cocoa, Blue Ice
Mesmer:
Head: Wraith Mask (Beginner Item Necro)
Shoulder: Firebreak Mantle (Karma Skin)
Chest: Acolyte
Colors: Night Shade & Winter Ice
Got 2 new pics, my Warrior and my Thief has gone through a makeover
Warrior is using T3 Charr Helmet, CoE Chest and Shoulders, Priory Gloves, and HoM Legs and Boots. Dyes are Sage and Graphite, with Burnished Steel in areas that needed to be lighter to match properly
Thief has been changed to look like who she’s named after, with the rest of my Fire Emblem character copies. Using the Karma Duelist chest piece, Rawhide Gloves, Vigil Leggings, and Outlaw boots. Using Black, Antique Gold, Apricot, Grey, and Pottery dye

I love the Mia clone. Great FE character and pretty spot-on copy. The hair color seems a bit off though. Maybe something a little bit more blue as opposed to light purple would get it closer.
Hey Duke, thanks for the compliment. I used the Makeover kit and that was the closest I could get. I wish it was a bit darker but I’m sure Anet will add more colors over time. She was always one of my favorite characters, as a Trueblade she was absolutely unbeatable in Radiant Dawn till the last couple missions for me
