Post your Canthan toons here
Why females only
Why females only
They are cute and sexy? Yet I haven’t seen many good males at all.
Go ahead post males too if you can make one. I was only successful with my male necro.
I have Yuun zu Durheim , a male necromancer . Descended from zhe Durheim kurzick family . They were poets, singers, worshiped grenth and other things that fit my appearance and story choices perfectly. I even told logan im from cantha when he asked me ..
..sry no ss as im not able to play atm
Funny you should ask! My cheerful just-plain-folks necromancer is of Canthan descent. Her family is fully Krytan assimilated with some nods to the past in the form of family heirlooms (a jade dragon staff) and a general store that among other things sells custom tea blends.
Here she is with her original hair, how it grew out, and as a bonus her parents (designed in character creator, never actually made).
My Canthan toon?
My Rit, Astral Projections. ^^
With a much better halo than the crappy one they made for this game, I might add.

Meanwhile, back in time…
While we are at the Topic of GW 1 canthans, my old rit, I Love To Bind You is in this image.
I still want to see GW 2 ones though as well.
Every day still.
and suffer one’s share of evils, than to fear
what might happen.
Ah Cantha. How I do hope we can go back there eventually…
Anyone else find it odd how the Canthan District in Divinity’s Reach was supposedly removed because they didn’t want to possibly offend people… and yet, the Kodan, to me still has a very far eastern feel to them…
My gripes with the stupidity of political correctness aside…
Here are a couple of my characters from the Shinjo family, who migrated north from Cantha a /long/ while ago… like, back before Guild Wars 1. As such, neither of them have ever actually been to Cantha.
First is Naomi. A girl displaced over 250 years out of time. She’s actually the grand daughter of the Shinjo family Patriarch that moved his family from Cantha in the first place! How and why she returned to Tyria now, even she doesn’t know… The Mists are funny that way…
Second is Kyoshi. Much more ‘mundane’ then his long lost cousin, Kyoshi was born in Krytia, and he wields his ancestral two-handed sword as a guardian…
… The human race would never have to worry about be oppressed again.”
I think trolls should have their computers smashed. ’Its all part of the game. U mad bro?’
Yukie Utsumi
Born and raised in Divinity’s Reach, she is a descendant of Canthan nobles that were stranded in Tyria by the rising of Orr. She is a natural leader, and is very protective of her family and friends. As a ranger, her main weapon is the longbow. She is also never without her reliable companions, Haruka (jungle stalker) and Mitsuko (forest spider).
No background stories, really, I just suck at writing.
my canthan gang. got a pic with OP as well
I’m getting Akatsuki vibes.
Here’s my mesmer; Chihaya Horikita
She and her parents fled Cantha when she was really young and ended up in DR. During her childhood she grew up in a strict environment which, despite her parent’s wishes, is what ultimately led to her becoming an acolyte of Lyssa, and an adventurer. As a Magister of the Durmond Priory, she often heads up archeological digs at various ruins throughout Tyria, with recent digs happening in the Silverwastes. She also likes to spend her quiet time reading books and/or napping (cuz she can!)
My duo of Luxon-descended Krytans of Canthan blood here:
I largely derive their look from faces of the Mongolian steppes.
Boerte Khenbish, and my engi, Temujiin Ganbaatar in outfits and actual gear.
Lord Ahrwit Valdyr/Isambard FitzValdyr/many more…

And some gw1 flavour.. a Luxon and my beloved ritualist Shi Xun, he of the whimsical wry humour and attunement with spirits.

Not sure if this thread is still going, but this is Sayuri Ishimoto – direct descendant of Imperial nobles who managed to escape Canthan isolationism and make it past Risen-infested Orr to the Tarnished Coast (or so I would like to think!). Spent a lot of transmutation charges getting this style sorted. She certainly doesn’t mind being loud and proud about her heritage through what she wears.
Liking the posts so far!
