Hi everyone! I just leveled up and geared my last profession to level 80. I photoshopped them together into a single screenshot to show all of them together! I’ve heard of many others having leveled up the same or more, so lets see them!

Attach a picture of your team of 80s!

P.S. – When I started, I didn’t mean to line them up a certain way, only to make it look like a natural position. However, it turned out that the Humans are on the ends, followed by the Norns, the Sylvari, and finally my heavies, one Asura and one Charr in the center. =D Also, the three on the ends alternate male/female as I have one of each for Human, Norn, and Sylvari. Kudos for anyone who has done something similar on purpose!

Edit – Uploaded a second image with them a little closer together. After seeing some of the stuff others have uploaded, it made me want to do more. Thanks all for posting your characters together! They look awesome!

Really like what you did there! I stayed away from overlapping my characters, but you did a great job at it! The sketchiness keeps the characters in line with the “stylized” world of GW2.

(For anyone asking about the pencil lines, there are filters that you can apply that will do that and you can play with the settings for stroke lengths and count. Not sure if that’s what Yunjii did but it’s available like that if you’re interested. Just google Photoshop plugins and you’re sure to find some)

You don’t even want to see my file. It’s a mess! I screenshotted them all in the same location, for some it’s just the character model that I left and cropped in, others I kept part of the environment. I zoomed in just enough to get my whole character in the screenshots so I could have them as high res as possible, but that meant I had to stitch shots together.

I just took a screenshot of all my characters on the login screen, then in-game next to a wall so I could resize them. The hard part (for me) was to crop around each character. The rest is kinda easy: I did that on opengimp and used some filters to create that pencil look.

What wall you used as background to crop, I tried that before but in the end I had to erase pixel by pixel to the crop be any good and I quit in the middle of the process :P

I just used the login screen as a background, but I had to use different techniques (playing with color filters, using levels of gray, etc) depending of what character I was cropping. It was especially difficult with my necro since she is so white.

Here are mine. I didn’t feel like going to quite the effort of cutting them out. (SAB weapons would be a pain.)

I simply can’t be bothered to cut em all out but here are mine anyway. This is the entire cast of characters I shall ever have thanks to the trait changes.

I really liked this idea!
Even if I leave this game tomorrow, I quite like the idea of recording the characters with whom I spent so much time.
So this is my family portrait.
Not as artsy as other entries (SO MUCH ENVY, Yunjii Sun) but maybe I will do a new one when they stop using rare crafted armor :P.

P.S.: The Ancestral outfit makes even a savage charr look like a diplomat…

Your ranger really seems to be using leather! Very nice.
I never quite get the right material textures for my characters, so I almost always fall back to using the color theme for the profession. Very colorful, but not as realist.

So, I spent all night on this. Thanks for the inspiration ArchieD and Yunjii Sun! Its all of my characters (except my elementalist who does not have his “final” look yet).

I still need to work on the fog at their feet…never done that before so it looks a bit unpolished.

Nice action shots of each character! I went back and forth a lot on whether or not to have them wielding their weapons or to have them sheathed.

Just had an idea I think would be awesome! Make one fight scene including all of your characters! I’m thinking something like the Jungle Wurm (it has a lot of ground texture that would be easy to overlap to stitch together). One of your characters would be “your” character and the other 7 (or so) would be visible somewhere in the screenshot fighting too. It’d be a little larger project to undertake, but it’d be nice to see them all fighting together. Oo, maybe even using cross profession combos!

Nice I was thinking of doing the same thing and a face off montage as well since my 8 main characters are paired off in polar opposites – for example my sylvari male guardian vs sylvari female necro. My charr male mesmer vs my human female ranger. Asura Male warrior vs asura female thief. Norn male ele vs norn female engi.

Not sure it would turn out as good as a comic panel though. I would also want to find suitable backdrops for a VS series as well as a team montage.

I like the choice of settings for each of your characters, it really plays into the “theme” that you’ve set for each of them.
