Precision vs. Bosses
I’m not 100% sure but I think only world bosses can’t be critically hit, guess it’s to stop them dying too quick when being attacked by 100 people.
As far as I know, you can crit dungeon bosses and regular ones.
Bosses can be critical hit. Objects cannot be critical hit.
For some reason, they made world bosses objects instead of creatures.

hmmm ok.. and “world bosses” are just the dragons or does that include champions and temple bosses too? is there a comprehensive up-to-date list of world bosses?

I believe you can tell whether something is an object by color of its name when you select it. Yellow means object.
Well, you have to separate some those creatures/ objects by their mechanics, not just the color of their name or just naming them “objects”.
Trivia:
- Normal targets’ names are red
- Normal targets can be critted at and can be inflicted by conditions
- Any targets may be restricted being critted at AND/ OR being inflictible by conditions. Either doing, makes them “anormal”.
- Anormal targets’ names are yellow
- Buildings are immune to conditions, but vulnerable to crits; making condition builds obsolete and berserks useful
- World bosses are immune to crits, but vulnerable to conditions; making condition builds really useful (not at numbers …) and berserks obsolete.
So simply labeling them as “object” doesn’t help.
Hint:
World bosses are uncritable to reduce stress due to computing and transferring. Same reasoning as the condition cap, not because “they’d die to fast otherwise”.

Explain Maw, Dwayna, Lyssa, Balthazar, Karka Queen, etc.?
You get the picture.

Saying “they’d die to fast otherwise” wouldn’t be solved by denying criticals but by increasing HP and/ or Defense (level). Increasing Toughness basically does the same as disabling crits. Direct damage lowered, condition damage maintained.
But rolling criticals and applying all “on crit” effects costs time.

You’re totally failing to explain it, Nretep – the point you seem to be missing is that some world bosses are crit-able and some aren’t, and it does not appear to have ANYTHING to do with with whether they are world bosses, but rather it is to do with whether they are:
A) Objects – not crit-able and don’t move during a fight much.
B) People – Crit-able and move tons during a fight.
So no, it literally cannot be a processing power issue. It’s pretty clearly a technical limitation of the enging, because there is a 100% match with a boss being an object and that boss not being crit-able and vice-versa.
^
wow, I didn’t realize that “uncrittable world bosses” and “immobile world bosses” are the same oO. That makes it easier to remember and to explain. And might give an additional, technical reason.
