I decided to gamble a bit too and got The Hunter on third attempt using Exotic weapons.

Maybe they’ve changed the drop rate?
In any case, I’d suggest people to give it a try – Mystic Forge.

Keep trying. If you continue to get them every third attempt then you can make a case they might have increased the drop rate. Otherwise enjoy your good fortune and don’t expect the RNG to be that nice again.

You can have runs. In one four hour period I picked up 2 x dusk, tooth of frostfang, zap & the hunter.
Another time I got dusk, dawn, the legend & leaf of Kudzu over a three hour period.
The down side. Twice I have lost large amounts of gold in the mystic forge trying to get the precursor wanted.
At the moment – no precursor, legendary and not much gold.

I really need to finish my article about artificial runs in “loot luck” resulting from the use of memory values to seed a random number generator. Thing blocks of unused memory areas where are the values are the same.

Teq a few nights back… 3 of 5 party members got the same underwater breather (same weight, too). How often does that happen? I haven’t seen the breather in ages.

A week before, I got 2 bags in a row from EoTM with “Truth” in them, and no other exotics in the previous month or since then, with the same content.

… more research must be done … !

Fractals 50, just before recent update. 3 of 5 got ascended boxes. Sometimes the drops are really skewed.

I was running on EB yesterday and we capped SM and i got a champion box and that champion box was containing the Chosen so I am a little shocked too…

Its just luck, I put 400G worth of exo’s last night into forge and got nothing back ( not a big deal as I play forge a lot and have been rewarded greatly in the past, I got the Dawn 3 days ago ) and yet last night gave nothing, a friend who had put 1000’s of gold into the forge over last 2 years threw in 4 random exo’s the had drop over last few days and got the Chaos Gun,

Video’s can be edited to make it look like they are on a winning streak etc, I wouldn’t believe everything you see, you got lucky, you should enjoy it.

Quite often. There’s always an aquabreather drop in the zone – usually several of them. It’s just that this time they all happened to people in the same group.

Yeah, it is a glitch due to “memory” – your memory. Human mind is funny like that. In your case, you are most probably ignoring every Teq encounter where something you would consider a pattern didn’t appear, and also your mind is trying to make sense of the chaos, by organizing it into patterns (that also exist only in your mind).
