The data-mined information is on Reddit. The person that does it mines every patch. I don’t know what exactly it means, but there are some interesting things mined. Of course, many things have been mined that never came to see the light of day.
I am not sure if it is within the rules to put that link up, so….
Found the thread, sounds like a way to get legendaries into sPvP.
Yes this information has been found in the datamined files, however this does not mean it is happening immediately.
For instance, fragments of code relating to the LFG tool started showing up in the data mined files 4 months before the tool was actually released.
It does show us that they are actively working on it however, which means it is probably entering the final stages. I would say set your expectations for the next 6 months and you probably won’t be disappointed.
My guess is that it will be implemented around Christmas time. That’s what an anonymous user on wiki posted anyway, a few months back. Hasn’t been corrected since.

That’s not exactly what they said, they said IF anything they were aiming to get in by the end of the year needed to be pushed back, the precursor hunt would be the first to go.

The community on Reddit (that_shaman most likely) datamined some interesting codes some days ago. The codes showed consumables, journals, that will tell the story, and keep track of your progress as you build your precursor.
I don’t have a Legendary yet, so in my case, I’m going for The Flameseeker Prophecies. Here are some codes that shows the journal for The Chosen.

Either way, I’m wondering how the building part of the precursor will be. Will it be time gated? Will it require loads, and loads of gold? Another set of Tier 6 materials? Or will it contain new set of materials and/or items only for the precursor? Will it be as ‘hard’ to build as the Legendary itself?

I absolutely love that there will be seemingly some sort of story for the weapons!
Other than that I believe there were some “shards” datamined … all in all I would assume a similar approach as for the ascended weapons – some daily converted parts and some other new items trickeling in from doing different things in game to be then crafted including existing materials of various tiers.
