I think it’d be better to focus on everything else in the recipe.
That stuff has less RNG involved, you’ll be able to collect them more consistently.

Then, find the cheapest exotic greatswords and buy them constantly and dump them into the Mystic Toilet.
OR save up and buy it off the Trading Post.

Either way, be prepared to puke gold.

Good farming methods are to go to Cursed Shores (event-mobs or ori-ore farming), or CoF / easy Dungeons (speed runs)

Has there been any updates on precursors?

A Dev mentioned in the forums they didn’t intend for the prices to be so high on precursors and were looking into a scavenger hunt type something for them. They said they were watching the prices closely, had the Lost Shore event and since then the prices have more then double from 200g to around 500g. . . . They still are climbing even after they said they increased the drop rates slightly just recently. Sadface.

I second the coment about doing everything else first…. all of the other things you have to do to get a legendary will give you more $$, when all you have left to do is get the precursor, you can decide if you want to straight up buy one, or play with the forge.

I don’t remember the post, but someone suggested to make quests for legedary precursors, i think is great idea, to also add some legend to items that hand nothing legendary but instead all of grindy.

The precursor scavenger hunt is not currently in active development. This was confirmed by Colin back in Jan. So unless something’s changed, don’t expect it until April or later at the earliest.

Apparently it’s not considered a priority at this time.
