Hi, with the monthly I have been doing a good bit of these puzzles. I have to say I think it is fun and have enjoyed doing the puzzles, however, the chests at the end are so disappointing.

Anyway I just want to know if there is a miniscule chance of me getting a precursor out of these puzzles. I figure with so many people attempting the puzzles for the monthly maybe someone has seen a precursor out of the chest.

Another question is how many are actually doing the puzzles instead of running to entrances in LA.

I have seen a good bit of people out jumping them with me. I have been 4 or 5 areas so far and have not been alone in most of the puzzles.

A lot of people actually enjoy doing jumping puzzles, or at least find them easy enough that once they’ve gone to the entrance they may as well do the puzzle. I’ve definately noticed a lot more people doing them, the first day there was a stream of people going to Morgan’s Spiral and heading up.

Back to the original topic as far as I know you can’t get precursors from puzzle chests.

I get rares from the jumping puzzle chests occassionally, but I’ve never recieved an exotic.

I generally run at least 3 jp’s a day.

Just got an exotic from Urmaug’s yesterday, so it is possible.

I suppose that is their loss. I personally have found it fun and we have just been going down our achievement list to complete ones we missed. I can understand not doing them though. I met 1 person in another game who could not jump with their character- it set off epilepsy. So I get that not everyone can do the jumping puzzles and I guess if that counts to get the monthly then go for it, I have enjoyed actually completing them though.

Either I do something because I find it fun or for the rewards. If it just for the rewards then yes, lazy way out if possible.

Lets not confuse lazy with efficiency. The requirement is to discover them. Its great that people are doing them as well but there’s no reason to go bashing everyone else for not doing extra:)

haven’t seens a precusor and just completed every jp out there (except scavenger chasem).
i enjoy the puzzles (most of them) and hope more will be added.

I’m bashing them for exploiting LA overflow to “discover” the LA JP 25 times in ~15 minutes.

I got Crystalline Blade from a Malchor’s puzzle, so it’s possible to get the precursor exotic.

i would like to do them but it’s too expensive to tele to them and too time consuming to run to them.

I have gotten Dusk from the chest at the bottom of Hope falls in Malchor’s leap.
and a bunch of exotics from other JPs, so can’t see why not.

Yes, there was a screenshot that showed someone get a precursor a few months ago from EB puzzle.

I pulled Dusk out of Mistwrought Vaults, yes its possible.

I have done so many and only ever gotten one single rare. The rest is just poo. This months achievement for finding puzzles is fun, because i just end up doing them when i get there. Once i do a few more and suffer through 7 fractals my monthly will be done.

splendid chest?
magnificent chest?
large chest?

large chests and higher tier chests can drop precursors(exotics) iirc. could be wrong, but i’ve done so many jp’s and only ever gotten exotics from that tier. never noticed if mag chests dropped exos.
