Q:

Dear Guild Wars players,

I’ve started playing GW2 about half a year ago. This will be my first big event. Is there anything I need to know or anything I need to prepare to have the most fun.

Best regards,

Ardi.

Well I’d recommend you go in labyrinth with a character that can tag multiple mobs in a single hit for maximum efficiency farming bags. Either a staff guardian or axe ranger should do the trick.

If you have alts to level, the labyrinth is also a great place for that. Make sure you use one of the Candy Corn food buffs, like Candy Corn Cake or Almond Brittle, as they give an extra 15% xp for kills. Stacks with other xp boosts, like BL chests boosters.

Pack some Merchant Expresses with you if you have any, they help greatly if you run out of bag space. Other players on map will appreciate it too, just spawn them near a waypoint and call it in map.

That’s all I can suggest off the top of my head, but I’ll be back to edit if I recall anything I might have missed.

I’m new and I’ll be trying a bit of everything but mostly focussing on accumulating as many 20 slot bags as I can by collecting/buying candy corn cobs/pieces:

I’ll hopefully also get my hands on some daft costume/cosmetic items too.

Hm nothing I can think of in particular. Honestly just make sure you try everything at least once so you don’t miss out on any of the fun, and if you see any new items you want work to get em while you can or else you’ll end up waiting a whole year for hem to come back around lol.

Make sure your bags are empty and you have spare storage space in your bank.

Halloween is one of the best events in GW2. It also doesn’t require a lot of investment. Prices on everything will be low and dropping in large numbers. Bag space will be your biggest enemy. Stock up on food and water, and prepare to play for 100 hours straight for maximum fun!

Yep like Frozen said. XP XP XP XP XP. The Labyrinth is so freaking crazy xp. It’s the best place in the entire game for that. If you have any alt to level up, get them ready with some buff, food, booster and maybe a couple of armor/weapons set to swap as they level up.

Otherwise. Take a level 80 with big tagging capability and put buff on him. Hopefully, we will able to farm some of our mastery in the labyrinth. We’ll see.

I would go and buy the:

old pillowcase.

That unlocked last year’s halloween collection. If it doesn’t drop this year, manipulators will drive the price from 42 copper to 50 silver or more. 80% of the stuff on that collection can be had now for a few copper over vendor price. The other stuff is inexpensive food.

It might drop again next week, but I would just do it now. Why take the risk.

As for getting ready for the content? It scales you to level 80 so make sure you have proper gear for your level and you will be ok.

If the labyrinth isn’t tweaked, it is magic find heaven. Literally the only place in the game where magic find makes a huge difference.

It’s also one of the very few places where Gold Find makes a significant difference. Individual mobs can drop 50 copper or more.

If you want to stock up on Omnomberry Bars to increase your gold and loot, that’s a good idea (Candy Corn Cookies that probably will drop keep you fed with max magic find if you don’t care about the extra gold).

#24 leaderboard rank North America.
