Guild Wars 2

As we get more expansions, build templates will become more necessary and wanted. Too many traits- too much gear will bog down the game experience, limit inventory/bank space past what we’re currently allowed.

Yes. At launch, however, ANet outlined some reasons why they didn’t want to include build templates. I won’t restate them here because (a) I disagreed they were important then and (b) even ANet no longer supports them. The point is: they had reasons (even if bad ones).

Since then, several devs have admitted that they themselves would like to have templates. Somehow, it has never been a big enough priority to go from “good idea” to implementation. I think they keep getting stuck with how to handle gear (but since GW1 didn’t handle that well either, I think they should avoid worrying about it).

So it might be that this less than 4 years overdue, but (from ANet’s perspective), it hasn’t been 5.

I fully support this request, like the 113 times before.

I’m afraid this will get buried due to the other PoF threads, but I just want to emphasize that this is important.

This would be the perfect oppotunity to offer a template build option. Just as long as you don’t mastery points for it or gems for a BLTC purchase etc.
