So why was it changed so you can’t preview gear that you can’t wear? I want to link something that looks cool to a friend and he can’t preview it or vice versa.

<Me> Sorry I can’t preview it because ArenaNet won’t let me anymore. sigh

Anet already gave an OFFICIAL answer and said this is just “TEMPORARY”
So don’t worry, is not stupid, it wasn’t an exploit or else. Just wait a little (or a lot, who knows).

I…really don’t know. Maybe because people were purchasing dungeon gear that they couldn’t use on accident? Idk…

From what I heard it was a temporary measure while they do some reworking on it and it will be reintroduced.

I don’t see what was wrong with it originally, but there may have been something wrong someplace where players don’t see.

It was probably an exploit™.

Removing this function was a stupid idea.
There were times when playing on an character I would find gear that was intended for other classes. Was very simple before, you viewed it, if it looked good you kept it. Now you have to go to the nearest bank, deposit it, log out, log in with new character, go to a bank, remove item and then you get to view it.
(then reverse the whole process just to carry on playing)

Ah thanks. I did some searching but didn’t find anything.

From where I saw it, they stated its a bug, so it wasn’t on purpose like many think it was, but you can still use the heart of the mist to preview armor fortunately.

You can still look at how weapons look on any class this gives me hope that we will see a lot more weapons opened up for different class (i so want to use a hammer on my ele).
