I have been waiting for so so many months now for a new world event. And when a event comes, theres nothing new for me to get, and I think others feel the same.

People have been asking for SaB, The Crown Pavilion or Zephyr Sanctum. And I think alot of people have been sitting bored with nothing to do ingame waiting for something to do while waiting for HoT. I have.

Now today a new events starts and I was happy in some way that we would get a event. But when there’s no achievements, no goods, nothing new to show for it, it seems a bit meh.
It’s like its more made for all the new players and the old players who’s been ingame supporting Anet with money via gem store and so are forgotten. And that brings me to the vendor

The Vendor with the items we can get got this:
Scarlet’s Champions Mini 3-Pack
Toxic Gloves Skin
Scarlet’s Grasp
Toxic Mantle Skin
Scarlet’s Spaulders

This is old gem store items, things others/some used real money on. This don’t seem fair to me. Why not release it in gem store for new players. And while we are at it with events, why not give us all the old things back and not only Thoughtless Potion and Selfless Potion.
Price and way to get it all should be the same for all players, new and old

I got nothing more. Disappointed in this event and the missing of other events.

Totally agree with u… I’m disapointed also. All this skins was on gem store and most of us bought it for heavy gems

So would you go to your local market and complain that last week you bought 6 oranges and now they’re handing a pack of 6 oranges away for a promotion that lasts 4 days ?

This is a 4 day event, after that the vendors are gone, it’s a promotion. There is nothing wrong with giving out items for a lower price or even free, that used to be higher price/not free.

Its more about how so many have been waiting for so many months for something new and we get this.. Cant be that hard to give us SaB as many players have been asking for..
And its not about the price of the item.. i dont mind sales and players getting things cheaper, thats just nice for them. And i dont mind farming coz i can do that all day since i enjoy farming. Its about things that before was gem store now are a vendor item.

As a three year veteran, I am excited at the opportunity to pick up these items that I’ve missed in the past.

Yes they are a vendor item right now, i get that it can feel like you waisted your money earleir, but it’s still no real difference than any store promoting something by giving stuff for free, stuff people previously had to pay for. It’s not like these are permanent additions either, it’s a simple 4 day promotion , if you’re lucky to get enough blossoms you can tick off some items. It’s not that uncommon in online games. (or real stores ^^)

Actually it IS hard to give you SaB they’ve stated before that after changes ahving been made to the engine SaB broke in the process, they can’t switch it back on untill they can spare the manpower to fix it. And HoT is where all their manpower is right now (they even ahd to give up making elite spec videos because they didn’t have the time for it) I’m sure once HoT is out they can once again spread out their employees to different tasks.

Ya event items that we missed ingame or others did i dont mind at all.. Back items/Wings. Or as now the Thoughtless Potion and Selfless Potion. Halo/Horn. I know some who are down coz they didnt get it.. So thats cool Im happy they might get it now.

SaB r broken

I’ve seen a couple of people on the forum asking for Scarlet’s skins to be made available again so I imagine they’re going to be very happy.

I’m one of the people who spent real money on those items (specially the mini 3 pack) and I’m happy to see them return. It’s a great opportunity for those who missed it first time around, which makes sense for an event aimed at new players.

I’ll actually be relieved if there’s nothing I want and don’t already have, but that’s because I can only play tonight, and not for very long. But I’m completely in favour of letting other people get items they may have missed before.

Incidentally, these vendors are not in LA. For others who may be looking for them, there is one in each of the attack zones: Ireko Camp in Kessex, Charrgate Haven in Diessa, and Watchful Source in Brisbane.
