A couple of concerns I have with the feature pack so far are dyes. As I have 2 characters with abyss dye (I have lot’s of other very expensive dyes), and from what I can tell, my other 3 characters will not receive it, and my only compensation will be 1 unidentified dye.

“When you unlock a dye after the feature pack is released, all characters on your account will have unlimited access to that color.

If you already have the same dyes unlocked on multiple characters, when you log in on additional characters, you will receive one unidentified dye for each duplicate dye already unlocked on your account."

The way they’ve decided to handle duplicate dyes is so poorly thought out. Like come on. 1 unidentified dye right now is currently worth 53s on the BL TP, When I revive the mail with my dyes, will I also receive the other 40g I spent? I don’t think so. Same goes for all my other dyes.

And the transmutation stuff in the wardrobe. I am very happy about this. But I do have more concerns. For those who say have bought they’re town clothes on the gem-store, and mixed them up with another set, i.e. The Mad King set and the phantom hood (This is my setup.) Now the clothes are being made into tonics?
Which I assume makes it a, wear all of it or none of it situation.

“Some basic clothing items that are no longer available for purchase will be converted into endless tonics.”

This makes me kind of mad that I spent 1000 gems to look this way, and you’re now taking that away from me. I do like the idea of being able to wear the as combat items
but I would like to mix and match them. That’s what your designed this wardrobe for, right?

And how about some charges for all those weapon and armor skins I’ve already paid you money to transmute, because:

“If you currently have items that have been transmuted, you will unlock the appearance for both the first item used for stats and the last item used for appearance in your final transmuted item. This means that if you have only transmuted a given item once (for example, if you’ve used a single Transmutation Stone to combine the appearance of Dawn with the stats of another greatsword) you’ll unlock the skins for both items in that transmutation.”

No mention of being reimbursed for the transmutation stone/crystal it cost to make the transmutation. I’ve bought my fair share of Crystals from your gem-store. And just because your splitting them doesn’t make it all fine and dandy. It’s like I just gave you money for the sake of throwing money at my screen. So yeah. Money being wasted right there. Thanks.

Maybe it’s just me, but some of these things really bother me. And don’t get me wrong, I very much look forward to the wardrobe and dye fixes.

After the update ALL your toons will have the abyss dye unlocked and you’ll get 1 unid dye for each duplicate for each toon, sounds reasonable imo.

Charter Vanguard [CV] – HoD
Bardy Belzebuson – Ranger Sir Belzebu – Herald
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

Yeah, I have celestial on several toons, so I know how you feel. However, to me, it’s a small price to pay for account bound dyes.

Anything I post is just the opinion of a very vocal minority of 1.

Dye question was already answered in this thread

Dyes you’ve already unlocked will become account bound. So all of your characters will be able to use abyss; you’ll just receive an Unid. Dye for the second copy of it that you have.

I’m not at all sympathetic about having expensive rare dyes on multiple characters not receive as much compensation for other dyes, as all players before now who used those dyes did so without the belief they would be getting any sort of monetary reward for it. Now that compensation is being offered it’s not very fair to expect to receive more compensation than others simply because you paid more, as it would be simple to give no compensation at all.

I agree with the issues about town clothing. I think players should have the option to mix and match them, but I like that they will be usable in combat. Mixing and matching them though could be a bit difficult, as town clothes do not have combat stats. A tonic allows it to simply ‘cover’ your current armor set with a different look.
