So I keep reading the forums and see how there are so many problems. I would like to say there are not any problems with much of the game minus some bugs that need fixing.

Roles and builds?

Zerker and lack of build types. Ok one there is nothing to build into except what class you play. Each class has skills that can Support, Damage, and help Control fights. There is no roles for Support, Damage, And Control these are things all classes can do no matter you stats, gear and traits are set up. Now some abilities might not last as long and hit for more damage or heal for uber amounts but it still does it’s part.

See gear and traits only help you do things a little better I have a character with 1.8k healing and it heals for an extra 250 hp to my mesmer thats got mixed gear to even out my stats. My Guardian with no healing heals for 100 hp less then my mesmer so not much difference and healing is made to midigate damage not heal it completely.

So you can see stats and traits and even runes and sigils are made to help you not make you some god to a specific role. So there is a lot of different ways to trait and gear out and more people are running with a mix of stats then just zerkers.

No new content sense release?

Now on to the game has had nothing added sense launch to count as content really just cause it did not stick around. Ok so instead you want content to be permanent like most other mmo’s. So other mmo’s add expansions and what not so you have content to play and once you do you never do it again unless you want another character and half the time you bypass most of it to get to max level to do end game.

So this company decided why not make content you play through one time ever in the sense of a “Living Story” and even though it was not all that it was made out to be a lot of content was added to the game through these and some stayed in one fashion or another and it does reflect on the world as a whole. Take the event with the molten alliance that content is still there in a way with the two instanced areas and some of the minor things that happened in the world effected it. Take the Queens jubilee it changed Divinetys Reach and they added ballons to the world that you can use to travel there by them.

Look at Southsun we got more then we thought from that and the reason no one does anything there is no one does that content except for the Karka Queen event not by choice of the devs but by the players choice. The area is amazing with what it has there some of the hardest hitting mobs outside of fratuals the jumping puzzle and even the merchants that sell some food items and such plus nodes and many other things.

Take Lions Arch that is for ever changed for us that went and did the events that happened there all the way through to the destruction of LA by Scarlet now its impacted the world in many ways even a lot of the Scarlet events have impacted the rest of the world the Marrionett is a permanent fixture in the world now with a vista at it.

But a lot of the content we did has become something that has impacted the world not just been added to give us something to play through when ever we want but has already played its part in the world. So yeah we might not have a lot of everlasting content but at least it shows it happened.

As for so many other things the reasons why they do this game so much different is so they are not like all the other companies that just add new content to there game making the world bigger, but by adding to the content that is there to make it more then what it was.

Underwater Combat BAD?

Ok I will admit its not perfect but it can be. One of the many things about this game I find fun is underwater combat its fun and different then what other games have where you can wield a two handed underwater as good as on land really does not make sense for you to be able to fight just as good underwater as you do above.

Could they add traits to fix it no cause there already there look some state they work with spears and tridents and spearguns. Have sense day one but people do not seem to see these only land based weapons are important. So yeah we can argue its broken and needs fixing but it works really well.

What I see needs fixing is the skills you can not use underwater could be changed or made to work a different way then on land. This way they can work underwater giving you more options when under water. That is about it really and that might make more people enjoy it.

To the future and beyond???

Who knows what the future holds for us but I would much rather them have the time to work on it along with the release of China so that when they do release the new content its that much better and bug free then some releases in the past. And now after the first living story they have some idea on what players like and do not like that they can make this 2nd living story that much better.

There is a lot of story info we do not know about yet like why did one of the Ley lines go to Thermanova and one off into the plains lands and then one to a forest area to be eaten by the dragon. What will they do with Orr now that Zhaitan has been defeated? We do not know yet but I hope we see new changes to the existing world as much as we do see added to it. Plus we still have 4 dragons left plus what ever else they might throw at us. Plus what ever happened to Cantha or Elona we know some stuff but not all and this could also be added in future content.

There is retaking the ocean for the races of the sea and making there cities new cities to go to and explore and maybe add some new depth to underwater combat as stated above. We might see new classes and races added to be playable who knows but I do know this what ever is to come I am ready and waiting for what ever it is.

Well the major upside is that the vast majority of the game’s population is too casual or too ignorant to notice or care about the problems that average forum-goers like to point out.

My advice is to walk away from here… and never return.
