I have trade every single profession and level them each up to 15 and just like every mmorpg I can never choose which class to go with. Any suggestions? I am tired of switching.
I like guardian, warrior, elementalist, Necromancer, and thief. I plan to plan to do both pvp, pve, and wvw. I just want something really fun I can stick to.

I’d say elementalist is probably the best balanced if you want to do a bit of everything.

The other classes you mentioned are designed in such a way to be overpowered at PvE and terrible at PvP or vice versa.

It depends on how you define fun, just pick one you like most.

Like bashing faces up close and personal? Warrior or Guardian.
Like being sneaky? Thief
Like long bows and pets? Rangers
Like having twins or triplets and teleport? Mesmer
Like being an air/wind/fire/water bender? Elementalist
Like being well… creepy? Necromancer

I’m not saying they won’t experience any minor nerfs in the future, but Warrior and Elementalist are perhaps the more “fundamental” character types in the game, and thus are less likely to be messed with on a large scale. (Sorry… I am still very bitter about the total makeover they did to the Dervish in GW1. It completely destroyed a character I had invested a lot time and effort perfecting, and really enjoyed. Try as I might, I could never come close to recapturing the ability, power, and versatility of the original.)

And as “fundamental” character types they are also a little easier to play, perhaps, and aren’t as likely to be excluded from groups by snotty players based solely on their Profession.

Build a man a fire, and he’ll be warm all day.
Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.

If you want something effective for every aspect of the game i’d go guardian or mesmer.

I’d suggest avoiding thieves, it’s anet’s favorite anti stress class.

It’s not my fault if S/P is not popular !!!

One thing you can do in this game that’s pretty neat is try out the profession at max level before you level it.

Take a brand new character into the Heart of the Mists (crossed sword icon). There you will be upscaled to 80 with all your abilities & traits and have free access to all gear/stats/sigils/runes/weapons/etc. Practice on the target golems or other target foes, even jump into a hot join match to test against other players if you like.

When you’re done, leave the mists through the asura gate to Lion’s Arch where you will be returned to your regular level/gear/abilities.

It’s a great way to test out new builds or see if you like the way a profession plays before you level it
