Guild Wars 2

I’d like to know the “lines” each character says when doing something, mainly doing this ‘coz can’t decide which race/gender to choose on next profession, either have a link to a site that already provides a list of those.

I’m talking about things such as:

A male charr necromancer saying- “They are SO disposable” when a minion dies
Or a male asura saying- “My mind is scrambled!” when affected by confusion

Stuff like that, either could you contribute writing those you remember? (and when it happens on what profession/gender/race)
This might also help other players which, like me, have a hard time choosing a race/gender/profession.

“I need some SPACE”- charr warr after discovering new map location.
“I’m ready to defeat anything”- same guy with full adren bar.
Those come off top of my mind.

The only one i can remember off the top of my mind is when a Charr Warrior is confused, they say “I can’t remember my orders!”

Female Sylvari Ranger –
“silly creature, I won’t let you die” or “it’s not time for eternal sleep, Get Up!” : When a pet is recovering after being mortally wounded

“I’ll report this to the pale tree” : when discovering a new area

Male Charr Elementalist Attunement lines
-Fire! / Bring the flames! / ????(I don’t understand this line)
-Water! / Behold the ocean’s power! / My power will drown you!
-Earth! / I can move mountains! / I summon the power of our lands!
-Air! / Lightning and Thunder! / Wind obeys me!

Male Charr Necromancer
-Risen Horde! / Live, my minion. Live! (Summoning Minion, might be wrong)
-My minion..! / Whoops.. There’s always another one. (Minions death)
-I am Death Incarnate! (Death Shroud)

Male Charr General lines
-Assistance needed! (Bandage)
-I need to scout all this.. / Look at that view. (Exploration)
-What an adventure. / I’ll tell the others about this. / That was fun. Let’s do it agian! (Dungeon completion)
-It’s easy when you know how. (Achievement completion)
-You can never have too much treasure. (Rare items obtained)
-I’M good! (Level up)
-So that’s how it’s done. / Very useful. / One step closer to perfection.(?) (Learning a skill)
-IT BURNS!! (Set on fire)
-Can’t remember my orders! (Inflicted with confusion)
-I can’t see anything! (Blinded)
-I’m bleeding. (Bleeding)
-My leg..! (Crippled)
-Venom’s.. too strong. (Poisoned)
-My strength fails me.. (Inflicted with Weakness)
-I feel so vulnerable.. (Inflicted with Vulnerability)
-Glad you could help. (Revived)
-I made a pretty good team. (Combo field)
-Charr need no gods! / Guns and Iron! / Avenge the foefire! / Remember Ascalon! / Remember Pyre. (Battle Roar)
-Oooh. That gotta hurt. (Critical hit, it’s bugged for all races atm. This line’ll appear when you get critically hit.)
-Refreshing. (Gain Regeneration)
-Faster! (Gain Swiftness)
-Kill ’em all! (Gain Fury)
-I feel… strong! (Gain Might)
-Harden up! (Gain Protection)
-Go ahead and hit me. (Gain Retaliation)
-That feels good. (Gain Vigor)
-Not enough energy… (Out of Endurance)

Also, both my Asuran girls seem to be saying this lately, but I don’t know what triggers it:

“So THIS is what it feels like to be Taimi!”

For what it’s worth, if you go to the Wiki page for effects, some users have listed the shouts per race and gender on each effect’s page. I have not checked to see what’s missing, but it in addition to the posts above it may help.

Feel free to edit and add missing shouts, of course.

I’d like to see much more in depth detail like what the OP is looking for on the wiki.

Is there like a newbies guide to editing wiki pages? I don’t know a ton about html so I’ve been scared of getting into putting info on the wiki.

This is the kind of stuff I always loved to see on the guildwars wiki. Seems like the wiki community for guild wars 2 isn’t as committed to rigorous detail. I found every question I ever had about the game on wiki.guildwars.com. The GW2 wiki is…blegh.

I can’t help but feel that part of the reason for that is GW2’s community has put up various resource pages and sites, whereas in GW1 the community focused a lot of effort on the wiki (both of them).

As for editing, it’s pretty simple -- you don’t even really need to know HTML. Give this page look to start.

I could be standing out in the open, Male Human Ranger “Lyssa confound you”. Like WTH?

That’s a bug someone is complaining about in the Queensdale/Kessex Pain on Ears thread. I’ve also been hearing random people of all races uttering their “I’m confused” comments at odd moments, especially in the Pavilion during Wintersday.

My main being a human male, I’m pretty used to:
“I achieve things. I’m an achiever!”
“I make a pretty good team!” (Might be male asura when self-combo’ing, I’m not sure).
“Urge to kill rising!”
“That turned out better than I expected!”

Mo Mo, the wiki has a newish thing where you don’t have to edit it yourself. You can click on one of the tabs up top, get a window with a series of highlighted symbols (* or ~, I’m not sure) and replace the symbols with the information you want to add. Then a wiki editor can put it in the searchable wiki portion.

LOL that “may lyssa confound you” that comes out of nowhere is quite disturbing

When your character has a few too many to drink, such as the drinks in Wintersday gifts that lots of people are pounding for the snowflakes skin, these lines will get used.
