Sacrificing utility/survivability and considering all possible combinations of weapons which profession has the highest the DPS potential for

a) Single Target
b) Multi Target

Thief d/d or staff hits like a truck single target. Staff can cleave 3-5 targets instead of two. So has decent AoE potential.
Non moving targets, dagger warhorn ele.

Multi-target I’m not quite sure on but my power reaper melts mobs.

Fixed.

And ele with dagger/warhorn is not really annoyed by moving target since almost all the skill you have can be used while moving.

Ele with staff have the best aoe potential. And the best DPS on big hitbox.
Thief is good DD in theory, but in practice I wonder where is all the boons and support when I play it. Ele can still be number one because of this fact since he provides natural might boons via fire fields and fire overload.

Ele is top dps, but it’s way too fragile than any other class.

This is just for PvE, I think speaking about dealing damage in pvp is… pointless.
