I was looking to purchase some cosmetic gear from the BLTC store to transmute to my current armor. I see on the description it says one time use per slot or something. Does that mean that if I was to upgrade my gear in the future, I would have to repurchase the cosmetic set to transmute it again since I’ve already used it once for that slot?

I’m just a little confused by the wording and would appreciate if someone can clear this up.

No – once you have the skin it is unlocked forever and you will never have to buy it again.

However, you will need transmutation charges to change the look of your items. So if you buy the Krytan armour and apply it to your current gear, then you will need to use transmutation charges to change the look of it to something else.

Once they’re bound to your account they’re added to the wardrobe just like any other skins and can be used as many times as you like, either on that character or on any others that can wear that armor type.

But the actual items you’ll receive from the store are 1 use skins. These are like the old Living Story rewards, items that have no stats and say ‘double click to apply to a piece of armor’ (or something like that).

After you’ve used those up you have to spend transmutation charges each time you want to apply the skins to a new piece of equipment.

You get the first transmute free but any after that you have to buy from a shady dealer behind the convenience store.
