What doesn’t make sense to me, is the logistics behind Scarlet’s attack on Lions Arch, or why Lions Arch doesn’t kittening bother reinforcing it’s defenses ever.

Lions Arch has been attacked/invaded how many times? How many new defenses have been added in that time?

We can go back through time experience historical events, but we can’t muster the resources to put a flak cannon or two along any of the walls? LA is some how stuck in the past with Trebs and Arrow carts as their only defense? The city itself is literally free for the taking, the Fortress of Jahai had stronger defenses 250 years ago. If a Dragon wanted, it could stay at a high altitude and rain down hell wiping the city out within a days time.

As for Scarlet, everything that she does is full plot holes, if you’re at the point as a writer where you have to scream “MAGIC!” 30 or 40 times to get a story across, it’s safe to say you’re not very good at telling a story.

Honestly, I feel more patriotic towards Divinity’s Reach because it’s so much a part of what we helped to build in GW1. So between the two cities I think LA is the correct choice. DR is becoming a melting pot of races, and a far more interesting city to boot as far as I’m concerned. LA has always just been there, so it’s like we might be saying goodbye to an old “friend”, which is tragic in it’s own right but not so devastating that I would want to throw in the towel and be done. If something happened to DR, I would be angry for so many more reasons than just the fact it’s tragic and horrible as that would truly be a severance of the connection to GW1.

Humans as a race have endured far too much as it is, the fact that humanity is relentlessly against the odds at this point is becoming a fatigued and exhausting point in the overall story and situation. What I really want to see is the impact and fruits of the Queen’s treaty with the Charr, and for all of us to band together and finally deal with the threats to humanity once and for all and to really truly overcome it all for the time being (in this area of the story).

I think Lions Arch would be rebuilt again if it’s destroyed here. Maybe not in GW2, but possibly in a potential GW3. It’s a City that is no stranger to upheaval, destruction, reconstruction, and change so I don’t really see that changing within the franchise…Ever..

Meh, ties were being severed as far back as EotN.

To be honest, the last nail in the coffin for old LA was the Karka invasion and the destruction of the only remaining structure from GW1: the Lighthouse.

Go speak to Kiel, she specifically mentions most of what you just said. She seems to feel the same about it too. LOL

Well they are in the process of doing an asspull* and claiming she’s insane because something is posessing/corrupting her from the time she spent in the chamber so they will just blame it all on that.

It’s so obvious I really can’t imagine how the staff isn’t just giggling to them selves when they plug all this into the game.
