How many of you use a regular 2 button mouse and regular keyboard and are ranked in PvP?

That made no sense.

I play GW2 on a solar-powered graphics calculator , use a 10 years old tamagotchi to control my char and an old mobiletelephone for my skills.

I don’t have a regular mouse, but I did see my particular input device on one of the Dev’s desk in an interview once!

I once switched to a mouse with 12 buttons on the side, for Aion that was i think. After that it was impossible for me to switch back, once you get used to being able to use your skills with your thumb while having your left hand free for movement etc,it just makes it so much easier.

Lol, my mouse doesn’t move or even have a scroll button/wheel. But I do use it for all my movement. I can’t imagine how people use a keyboard for that!

I set a trap and caught a mouse in my kitchen, and turned it into a half-mouse half-cyborg and it targets things for me in-game. My keyboard is actually one of those Bop-It Extremes and a joystick for movement. My skills on the Bop-It are Spin-It(dodge) Bop-It(auto-attack) Flick-it(#2) Pull-it(#3) Twist-It(#4) and my jump button is on the joystick and my #5 is controlled by my cybernetic mouse

When people have answered this question seriously in game, I’ve gotten more people saying that it’s near impossible to be effective(reaction time etc.) in PvP without a multi-button mouse.

I do find it interesting that not one person has actually addressed the question I posted.

I have a basic setup (though wireless for convenience): 2 button mouse with scroll wheel and regular keyboard.

I am currently glory rank 61, have been top 100 on both ladders multiple times, and top 50 several times as well (and I only do pickup groups). My main is staff ele, but lately I play different things/test builds in tournaments (so my leaderboard rank isn’t great at the moment). And I have plenty of room for improvement in my playing…

What I am trying to say is, yes I really think you can succeed with a basic setup. It just depends on how much control and comfort you have over your setup.

Hmm, Celtus.8456 – that’s interesting. You also play the toughest class in the game.

I only just bought my multi mouse button last xmas as they were not really available in my country until then. Even now it only has 6 extra buttons which only 5 of them are bind-able, before that I did ok in PvP not sure what my rank is if anything because tbh I haven’t played it daily like a lot of other people but that’s mainly because im wating for newer modes. WIth regards to how much better using a multi mouse button is, it is a bit better from my experience, can save a fraction of a second here or there so it does help, especially on some classes like my Engi.

Having said all that you can still do well with a normal 2 mouse button all depending on skill/build and luck of the situations/teamwork of course.

Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?
