As the Wardrobe replaces the gear locker, PvP crafting materials will be removed from the game, so be sure to craft anything you want before the April 15 update.

How exactly are we to craft if you guys turned off glory insanely early and thus 80% of the population cannot buy armor or weapon tokens to actually CRAFT.

Don’t give me the “oh well most people have a stock pile of glory left over” – then you’re not part of the 80%

When I heard Glory was being phased out I spent my stockpile with the Kodan vendor. I am now in the same boat, getting piles of crafting mats I can’t use. I also have a stack of glory boosters that do nothing.

My hope is that when the new system comes out the devs add some kind of trade system where I can swap my mats and boosters for something usable. Much like the vendor that got introduced when they changed the tournament ticket system.

It would be nice to get an official word on that in the meantime.

with how they are giving us a heads up on removing them, i doubt there will be a trade of any kind, its just going to be washed away.

ANet please don’t remove this Items without any Reparations. You accendentially told us, the glory will be removed so spent it…. You not told us to spend our tokens to…

i’ve got enough crafting materials to create dozens of skins…. but got no arcane powder… we can’t earn arcane powder… why? No glory, no chests, no items, no arcane powder.

Even if i have 837 arcane orbs, they are actually worthless.
Same with the 437 glory booster…. worthless…

i think there are more people out there having the same problem.

Well, I just salvaged some of my duplicates today and got the items necessary to craft more armor.

As for Boosters, they gave ample notice to use them up before the removal of Glory.

I don’t think there will be any reparation (in fact, I’m sure of it), but I do think they will delete unusable items for you, so you won’t have to. =)

I too was hoping for a trade in. I wouldn’t have minded taking the left over boosters and giving me other boosters instead.

Haven’t done soloque or tpvp in a bit. Are players still getting chest and pvp gear from those? If so, break those down for the powders. My problem is that there isn’t anything to do with the pvp salvage kits or the dozens of tokens I have.

We removed glory and match reward chests early to prevent a flood of PvE players from coming into PvP just to fill their wardrobe. While the our team would LOVE everyone playing PvP, some super smart economist peopleguys said it would have negative repercussions on the in-game economy or something.

Like with every other removals, the game economy is more important than a player’s past efforts/rewards in their eyes.
What a shame, really.

yeh i too have several hundred crafting mats but no more weapontokens…

and i bought skins for 40k glory etc
which i didnt even have to buy since i can farm the skins in pve with just doing dungeons for 30 minutes per day
