Q:
Who here would like Arena Net to post not only the Minimum specs for the game but an accurate Recommended Settings for Windows and Mac ?
Also another Question who all would prefer slower content delivery with improved game performance, Basically releasing content that is fully optimized before release?
Please Post below your responses to both questions if possible
Thank You

I personally would like to see a recommended Specs to be posted
Also i would rather have Higher FPS and be able to enjoy the new content than just crashing or getting so low FPS i cant even play.
The Min specs will vary based on Content though. Min specs for HoT are different then they are for the base game due to the depth of the HoT maps and the NPC (Mobs too) positioning and Clustering along with the varying player populations.
IMHO, Min specs are as follows
Win7 x64 or Win10 x64
G3220 or G3258
8GB of system ram
240G SSD (Map loading is Terrible on HDDs)
Intel HD4600 or R7 240, or GTX730
1600×900 up to 1920×1080 Resolutions.
The main limiting factor is that character limit setting here. But with those specs you can expect 30-40FPS on Max Graphical settings(Sampling Native, Shadows Medium or High, and Reflection on Terrain) with the Check boxes below the drop downs disabled for the moderately populated HoT Maps. During Boss fights you can expect sub 24FPS performance though due to those specs using dual Core CPUs.
I wasn’t really asking about opinions on specs, The question was who would like arenanet to give a somewhat of a recommended spec requirement baseline not a minimum . Also the other question is based on optimizing the game itself, and optimizing content before it is readily published to the players.
Thanks for the input though lol
It would be impossible to give recommended specs.
Why?
A PvP only player would have different recommended specs then someone who does mega events like Teq.
A core-only account would also need different recommended specs because HoT zones are more detailed then core tyria.
WvW players would need different recommended specs because WvW has a lot going on, that is very different then HoT zones or PvP areas.
And about it being optimized: What they see on the test servers will be different then the live servers. It’s impossible to test everything and even if they magically did, sometimes live servers just eat something differently then the test servers. So even if they spent another month on content, sometimes something will still cause lag issues or other issues.
Finally: Sometimes they have to put out a patch, that is to keep up with a Windows update to ensure their game still runs okay. Sometimes that windows update is actually the issue.
I don’t want to even go in and touch the mac client in this conversation because that is another whole can of worms.
TLDR: Have a baseline recommended spec for computers in an even changing mmo is really hard. I would rather they spend the time they would have to spend to figure out what runs the best, and such on other things.
