Q: The Glowy Eye Masks In Gem Store
It’s not quite that simple, because of the particle effects.

They could so something like they do for Dry Top items (you get scarfs+spectacles and combine them through crafting). They could even create a table of “matching headgear”, it would say “category A combines with other As, and B with other Bs” so weird combinations wouldn’t be made. Combining them would require something unique at Mystic Forge (aside from two base items, of course). It would be a success for GemStore sales. #profit_idea_unleashed

I’d be on this so fast! I’d be the Lich King in under a day xD

You sure? well they could remove the particle effects and just make em glowy red, i mean the only thing preventing me from buying them is the fact you cannot wear a helmet too; surprised this idea has not come up.
WTB a style only “face” slot to go along with helmets. Clipping be kitten ed, we’ll figure out what goes well and what doesn’t ourselves and ignore anyone who complains!
On the slim chance Anet sees this..just want to know if this is possible in which i can look forward to! or not so i can forget this possibility, till then ill hope!
Or they could add them as item upgrade things, that change the eyes/whatnot when put in the helms upgrade slot. Like the 3 Halloween items (can’t think of the names right now).
Please give us a keyring…

I encountered a bug a year ago when I tried to transmute my subterfuge hood to my rascal mask, they somehow ended up combining (one clipped onto another) for a few minutes and then reverting to the subterfuge hood skin right after. Looked great, I thought it was some easter egg but when it reverted I knew it was a bug. Such a shame.
Point is, it’s not that difficult to implement.

It will also make them a good amount of money, i have a few guildies and friends who think on the same thought as me.
So, guys, just as I suggested: some combinations are so out of hand because of clipping, and some are perfectly fine (something to do with the face itself+some sort of helm). They could create a table stating “this eye” combines with “this helm, this blindfold, this wreath”, etc. Or “this monstruous thing” combines only with “this little detail in the eye”, or “this item” combines with nothing, because it hides all the face.
It certainly is not easy, I must admit, and would take heavy effort to implement, but it may bring some extra profit in the long run.

Does not matter what the suggestion is..a few of us just wana wear the glowing eye masks with our helmets too..

The main issue with it really is that you still wouldn’t be able to dye the eye masks. If you’re fine with that, I guess it would be possible.

Thing is they are already releasing different colored masks, which makes the concept of recoloring with dyes impossible, otherwise there would only be one mask up.
