Guild Wars 2

I have several characters created before April 14th, and they are under level 30. Do I still need to unlock trait skills with gold and skill points or their traits are unlocked already? Thanks.

I am pretty sure any char under level 80 has to unlock all traits by either the pay method or earning them through the various tasks in game now. I had a level 20 who had a few traits (actually it was probably only 1) unlocked but after the patch he was traitless and now he has to learn them all.

Any character that existed before the patch doesn’t need to run around and collect any of the old traits, just the new ones. I’m leveling a warrior who was 29 at update time and he hasn’t has had to hunt around for his traits.

Oh I see, so if I keep levelling this guy when he hits 30 he will have access to all those old traits again. Guess I was wrong then, kinda hard to tell at lvl 20ish since I can’t set any traits until 30 lol.

Yep. I stopped my guy at 29 just to see what it was going to be like and he hasn’t had to do anything special yet. I’ve even forgotten to put the traits on when he gets them!
