I may as well use it for gobbling xp for my final character. I am doing 15, 1 race in each armor class, so this will be either a norn ele or a norn necro …. I am still working out which.

Anyway, while my character gets scaled up to 80 what about my gear? Does it get scaled up as well or do I have to change into level 80 weapons/armor each time I enter?

Your character gets scaled, but not your gear. That being said, you will not be able to change to 80 gear while in there, because that isn’t your character’s actual level.

It’s like the scaling for WvW. You won’t get any access to traits or skills that you don’t already have in PvE and your armor will be your PvE armor but your char will be scaled up. My low levels can go into WvW and kill level 80 vet mobs and the various NPCs such as sentries but a fully geared level 80 player opponent is much tougher.

Thanks, so it sounds like the normal buy-new-gear-once-in-awhile just that I am doing level 80 content in lower level gear, thanks.

BTW, any opinions on necro vs ele for that stuff? If I am going light anyway I am leaning towards doing a staff ele.
