QOL time
I just want to know when I’m in the mists, if I leave the mists where I’m going to end up. I mean a lot of times when I go AFK or even when I log, I go into the mists first, so I don’t log in in the middle of some event I’m not prepared for.
So I come back the next day (I have a lot of characters) and I’m in the mists. Do I go to LA, or do I leave, because that’s where I want to be.
I’d rather know where I’ll end up when I leave the mists.
Not too sure what this thread is about but I can guess:
Pertaining to QoL for mists, Id like it if the zero-cost PvP gear you might ‘purchase’ for free from the vendor in the mists would disappear when returning to the open world. I grab that gear to test out new builds, not because I want to keep it. It takes up inventory and I need to destroy all of it when I return to open world.
@ cesmode the thread is about QOL improvement ideas , sorry you dont understand
Location in Guild Panel should indicate which borderland a guild member is in

Autostacking stuff in the bank. Please.
Ratbag Dogsticker (Guardian)
…Yak’s Bend
Account bound dyes.
Account bound commander tags.
Armor lockers for PvE/WvW.
A general skill point pool so I can use my scrolls.
Pristine Fractal Relics no longer taking inventory.
Various other currencies no longer taking inventory.
Increase mail cap if both parties are on each other’s friend’s list.
Double click and auto stack mechanics for (guild) bank.
1. Warrior Elite Skill Rampage remembering that I set Smash to auto-attack.
2. Option to toggle Renown Heart Zones. I don’t personally care, but I know people who wish they could see the boundary for Hearts and some DE’s.
3. First Person Camera (plz )
4. Better indication of whether I’m in range for an attack other than those really out of the way red bars at the bottom of skills
5. Customizable UI, letting players move stuff around and remove what they don’t want
6. Ability to snap currencies to bottom bar of inventory.
7. Timer for LW achievements that show how much time is left for a release’s achieve’s, similar to Daily and Monthly timer. Or just the end date for a release.
8. Two upgrade slots for two handed weapons, sigils for both weapons if dual wielding work.If I think of more, I’ll edit this post. BTW, shouldn’t this be in Suggestions?
All 8 of these are good QoL improvements. Good post.
I’d like to add one at least:
1. Being able to turn on my own name!
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
1. Being able to turn on my own name!
What do you mean by that?
Make my own name visible on my screen. As it stands now player nameplates are only for other players above their heads.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
for the guild roster: ability to sort by character name or account name separately, with offline players sorted after online players automatically.
I want to turn off the nagging Living Story stuff on the upper right portion of my screen.
Along with the nagging Personal Story stuff.
That is all.
Fix the targeting system.
Engineer Grenade kit auto attack (don’t know how to implement this, just sick of carpal tunnel mashing 1)
Option to turn off voices for “For Great Justice” etc.
Account-Wide Dye
Illegible text issues in TP
3. First Person Camera (plz )
Funny enough, the Edge of the Mists client has this. It’s listed as a developer option though, so who knows if it will ever be put in the main game (it’s not exactly useful outside of making screenshots).
I’d personally suggest the ability to set a home waypoint that always remains at the corner of your minimap/somewhere on your UI so you don’t have to flick through the map to port to the Trader’s Forum or whatever you use as your main hub all the time.
But I didn’t shoot the thackeray
4. Better indication of whether I’m in range for an attack other than those really out of the way red bars at the bottom of skills
Out of curiosity, what would you suggest?
It can’t be something on the targeting “box”, because not all skills have the same range. Even skills on one weapon can differ for ranges, so a single indicator on the target wouldn’t be able to show which ones are and are not in range.
Would more visible replacements for the red bars work? Say, a brighter outline around the skill key when it’s within range?
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
