QoL Request for launcher

Hey,

I’m using the box ‘auto login’ and ‘auto play’ . However, with the patches there is always a threshold at which the game accepts to be launched with content still downloading. I’d like an option where I can leave the auto play on, but it will first download all the content (ie. reach 100%) instead of launching as soon as the priority content is downloaded.

Thanks!

I could have sworn that was already an option, but now I’m looking I can’t find it anywhere.

What you do is:
1: Create a new short cut.
2: Name it gw2update.
3: Give it the same directory as your normal short cut, but add -image. it should look something like this: “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe”-image
4: Make sure that your current gw2 short cut is named GuildWars2, without space or .exe in it.

5: Create the text file gw2.txt
6: Write in it:
start /W Gw2Update
start GuildWars2
exit
7: Rename it gw2.bat
Provided that you launch the gw2.bat file from the same destination as the other short cuts, that should be enough to do what you want it to do.

This part is only to avoid clotting up your desktop with short cuts you only use through your gw2.bat file anyway.
8: Create a new folder. Put your GuildWars2 shortcut, Gw2Update shortcut and gw2.bat inside the new folder.
9: Place the new folder inside the Guild Wars 2 folder.
10: make a short cut to the gw2.bat.
11: use the short cut to the gw2.bat file to launch the game from wherever you want to launch it from.
