Please correct me if there’s a way to do this already, but please make an option for forum users to stay logged in! On every browser I’ve tried, I have to re-log every time I come here. It’s a basic feature on almost every forum, I don’t really see a reason for it not to exist here.

Also, if I’m in a thread and want to log in and make a post, it throws me to the main forum page, out of the thread. Then I have to find the thread again. I don’t remember if this happens on PC browsers (I’m currently on mobile) but pretty sure it happens there too.

Not big issues, but annoying for active forum users. Anyone agree? And please, if I have missed something and there is a way to stay logged in, do share your wisdom.

Anet has extremely basic control over the Forums, the company that created and was supposed to maintain/Update no longer exists iirc, so don’t expect any changes especially QoL style stuff.

Example: Search function still doesn’t work after 5 years.

Hmm…my post disappeared.

Make sure to tell your browser to save tabs on closure, and you should not have to log in as often. (The forum then remembers where I was when I encounter the daily-required log-in.)

Good luck.

I also keep it as a permanent tab (in FireFox for now, we’ll see come November when FireFox nerfs itself and the Tab Grouping addon is nixed). Now and then, somewhat randomly, it will pop up the login box, which as I am on my own private PC I don’t have to type anything, I just click to log in again. Most of the day, however, it keeps me logged in just fine.

I have learned this, though. If I’m just starting a browsing session, best to manually log out and back in again (as I say, it’s just some button clicks, no typing). It hurts when I type something at length and then when I go to Post Reply the forums have decided I’ve been logged in too long and instead of posting my comments, it deletes them and demands a login. Sometimes I remember to ctrl-c my post before hitting Post Reply just in case this happens …
