Guild Wars 2

Hello Guild Wars 2 forums, this is my first time posting here.

I adore Quaggans and when I saw there was a backpack on the store, I just had to get it. However, I’m confused and worried. I thought it was going to be a separate piece of armour, so I could keep it forever. But it says I need to merge it with another item and I can only ever do it once, so if I get a stronger item, I’ll basically lose it, unless I purchase it again (which would be a waste, I just spent money on gems to buy it).

I’m also confused as to what item to merge it with. I’m not quite sure how I get it to work at all.

I’m really sorry if I sound dumb, I’d appreciate some help. I’m not the best at understanding some things about the game.

the back pack is a back item, you can transmute the quaggen backpack with a back piece u already have. then if you get a better piece down the road, you can transmute again to keep the quaggan piece

evidently, i misread you said it says i can only do it once. so i have to agree with you. i too just bought it but have not transmuted it yet.

I had this dilemma. I figured I’m going to wear this for cosmetic lols, so I just transfigured it to a random crappy back item. And as birdiegirl says you can always re transmute it at lvl 80.

You can indeed transmute it after it has been used on a trash item. Including Guild Backpacks

Thanks so much for helping out, Birdie and Stevens. So I can transmute it, if I get a better item. It’s just when I hover over it, it says “(One-time ability)”. So I wasn’t sure if you could only merge it with an item once or transmutation stones still work.;
