I so agree with this. Furthermore, I firmly believe the next Raid map should have a Quaggan boss (much more fearsome than any Sloth).

Quaggans are a lesser race. And an annoying one at that.

The only Quaggan decorations I want for my guild hall is their heads mounted on the wall.

Perhaps I would settle for their head on a pike, but that might be about it.

Due to lack of regulation in the fishery industry the tuna contains mostly Quaggan which in turn is reducing the population.

I know this thread is a bit of a joke, but the fact that the guild miniature symbol is a quaggan and none of the minis are actually quaggans really annoyed me. We got all excited to unlock it and then… meh.

This is no joke! As you can see, and showed there are many many many accounts of their shunning of Quaggans. If we don’t address it they never will!

The Quaggan mistreatment is an issue that has touched every facet of this game. I feel it is more important than even (gasp wait for dramatic affect) killing the Elder Dragons, SAB AND Xushin’s meetings combined.

I would like to post an apology for our Guild Leader’s, for lack of a better description, misguided post. We at Company of Traveling Heroes [CTH] do love our quaggans and do believe they are underrepresented within the world of Tyria. However, there are certain individuals within our guild that take this fandom too far.

We realize Quaggans are cute. They can fear of entire zerges of enemy players (we’ve done this as a guild and yes, we have video proof). But I say again, I am terribly sorry that this fandom of our Guild Leader has spilled onto the forums.

Quaggans are Life. They are Love. And yes, should be treated as such.

2. Why is there no Quaggan rank in PvP? This is by far the most egregious of errors on the dev’s part. We have Dolyak rank, Tiger Rank, Bear Rank even and even the evil rank of Rabbit.

Wait a minute right there bub. Rabbit rank is the BEST rank. There’s nothing better than stomping someone in PvP and proudly displaying your Rabbit rank flag. Ok. I’ve never actually managed to stomp someone without a teammate helping me kill the person but that’s beside the point. If I could do it, there would be nothing better.

So, apologize to the Rabbit and never speak badly of him again.

I can see that’s there’s a place in the PvP rankings where they could fit in a Quaggan rank. They could fit a new rank in below Rabbit, for those that can only aspire to Rabbit rank.

I do agree however they need more ways to interact with Quaggans. Here is one interaction they should add to the game.

Quaggan and Noodle soup.
Ingredients:
1 jug water
1 Noodles
1 garlic
1 slab Quaggan meat (tastes like chicken, because they are the chicken of the sea)

Effects:
100% chance to run faster from your enemies
Nothing else. Quaggans don’t have much to offer.

This has been on my mind for quiet sometime and with every patch I feel this has become a bigger and bigger issue. Bigger than those who complain about PvP or WvW or Raids or all combined!!!

The biased nature of the devs towards lack of Quaggan content. Categorically:

1. No Quaggan statues available for the guild hall. We have rams, monkeys, steam ogres, wyverns, but no Quaggans. Where are the Quaggans I ask? For those of you lore lovers, they were and are an integral part of the Pact. Are they not worthy enough for statues? Why should they not be preserved for ever in heroic poses. I demand and I know many others feel the same way that the dev’s need to focus their efforts on making Quaggan Statues available for guild halls AND be affordable.
a. Also they need to come in varying sizes.
2. Why is there no Quaggan rank in PvP? This is by far the most egregious of errors on the dev’s part. We have Dolyak rank, Tiger Rank, Bear Rank even and even the evil rank of Rabbit. But where in the world is our Quaggan Ranks? To be a Quaggan rank (this is directed at everyone who been saying on the forums that Quaggans are a lesser race) should be ABOVE (capitals intended) Dragon rank. Reasons for this as followed:
a. Quaggans helped take down Zhaitan AND Mordremoth ergo they are higher than Dragons.
b. Quaggans are NOT a lesser race.
c. There have been many instances of Quaggan bravery that everyone should aspire to.
i. When was the last time you saw a bear willingly go fight a dragon?
3. Quaggan race. As stated above some players are making cases for the Tengu to be the next race. Their logic is terribly flawed outside of the Dominion of winds being made already. Quaggans> Tengu. This is a fact of life, to doubt other would doubt the existence of elder dragons. Quaggans are the race we all strive to be, there are even instances, well documented instances of WvW players taking down zergs and chasing off attackers as Quaggans.
a. This is also the biggest reason why WvW has declined, the removal of the Quaggans from WvW ala the old lake has angered the player base and therefore must be rectified.
b. The little hideout on the BL of Quaggans shows proof the Dev’s understand that Quaggans must come back as a playable race.
4. Buyable NPCs for the Guild hall: QUAGGANS. Guild should be able to buy decorative citizens for their guild halls. We have miners after all and they should be able to have Quaggan residents. We should be able to provide shelter from the elder Dragons in our guild hall for residents of Tyria, primarily the Quaggans who have helped us!

These steps must be taken in order to preserve the player base. (I believe I hit everyone in this, WvWers, PvPers, Lore Buffs, Pvers)

5. The distinct lack of Quaggan Stew as a chef recipe has been a missing content feature that has left me unfilled since release.

To be fair, quaggans are really the cause of scarlet’s issues, the resulting world-wide incidents, finally culminating in the destruction of LA. Notice how you’d find the same two quaggans each time? Let’s not forget, there’s quaggans in DT too, and mordy attacked there.

Quaggons are/were a lame attempt by Anet to cash in on a “cute n’ cuddly” race as many mmo’s do.

They add a sense of idiocy to the game for me, and I would be extremely satisfied if they never add any more Quaggon related content. They are a joke race and look stupid.

Quaggans are the Ewoks of Guild Wars 2 but with the annoyance level of Jar Jar.

If anyone knows anything about CTH, you are posting on this thread and they are ninjaing your garrison

Can’t support Quaggan rank. Other than Dragon, all the ranks are just animals. Dragon isn’t an animal, but also isn’t exactly a race, it’s more a force of nature. Quaggans are neither of these.

If Quaggans are eligible for rankhood then so should Skritt, Hylek, Ogres and Grawl, since all of them are on the same footing as Quaggan as far as the other societies and groups of Tyria are concerned.

Just say RIP 6 in Map chat.

And the fight against Mouth of Modremoth will be exciting again. It was almost failing (95% consumed Ley energy) just because of the sadness about the Death of Shashoo at the half of the fight.

If you add a Quaggan rank, then it should be placed just above Human rank.

I would also like to suggest a Quaggan colour set, Quaggan weapons and armour, and a potential Quaggan love interest for the next part of the living story.

And the same for Skritt. Shiny weapons made from glass shards and broken sprockets.

Personally, I would like to see Shashoo get an admiral hat and epaulets… something like Captain Crunch wears.

The only other acceptable option would be a kitten quaggan who speaks only in quotes from The Art of War and is surrounded by a bunch of tough grizzly-looking characters who have nothing but total respect for the quaggan.

The only Quaggan-related content that we need is a Chef recipe incorporating Quaggan meat. That would actually give those obnoxious little sea slugs some redeeming value.

The dev’s in their limited support of Quaggans understand that Quaggans are above Skritt and rabbits and asurans combined.

That is why all Quaggans are green names, and yet you can attack skritt, rabbits and asurans.

When someone goes to the trouble of presenting an idea in a serious manner, no matter how silly or pointless, it’s only good etiquette to respond in kind.

Forget about the breadth. Let’s talk about their breath. OMG! Its awful. They come right up to you with their stanky breath and it’s all in your face when you’re talking to them and you got to be polite and not gag. Talking to a Quaggan needs its own traits and mastery line.

Quaggan anti bad breath trait. Choosing this trait means Quaggan breath doesn’t gag a maggot.
For 8 Mastery points. Quaggan breath doesn’t cause you to reel back and look around for the dead skunk.
