Maybe in the future can we get… Quaggans as a playable race????

Awful idea? That’s the first thing I thought when I saw Quaggans, and heard them talk. They’re such an original race when AN could have just made “fish people”, and they’re adorable, and hilarious, yet with potential to be more than just cute sidekicks and background characters. Let’s just say they’re infinitely more interesting than a certain race of panda-people based on lame Chinese stereotypes in a certain game which certainly won’t be mentioned here.

They could also probably use modified Charr armor models because their postures and proportions might be close enough, which gets around one major problem with adding strange-looking (no offense Quaggans!) species as playables to MMOs in general.

I love those guys.

The name for this creature was actually Poobag in an early concept art made by Kekai Kotaki.

They wanted to bring the creature into the game, but it couldn’t be named Poobag, so they named them Quaggan instead.

They were named Poobag because it was such a sad creature that always ended up in trouble and had problems.

I see Quaggans as secondary characters, as most of the other non-playable races (except for the Tengu, Largos and possible Kodan, which I feel might be playable races one day)

It would be fun to have them playable in the game in a way though. Maybe through mini-games or mini-stories/dungeons.
They’re too squishy as full playable characters, but who wouldn’t want to be able to explore the world as a Quaggan, Skritt or Dredge even?

I dunno about a playable race. I wouldn’t complain, but they seem to be more of the race that you always help or help you from the sidelines.

In compromise we should have a baby/quaggan mini. >.< The corrupted one is pretty meh, and there is a Skritt one. Make it happen Anet. lol

Why not quaggan?

I think there should be Quaggan plush. But not the limited kitten Anet love to do so much that makes us unable to get them other than from ebay.

They should even make plush that talks when you press on their belly. 1 male and 1 female. each with original voices.

I’m not sure about the playable race (they kind of loose their edge when forced into that – look at how agreeable your Asuran gets :/ ), but I really definitely want a Quaggan mini – Quaggan pirate, Quaggan Ghost, normal adult Quaggan, normal baby Quaggan,…

Ah yes, the plushy. Why do we not have a plushy yet? I’m throwing money at my screen but nothing happens I love the belly-voice idea XD
