Hi all I’m working on a video about what Guild wars 2 needs in 2014 and this video will be about quality of life features.

I’ve got a few written down but i’m always curious about what other players would like to see so.
If you have any features you want to see please write them down in this topic and I might be able to use it in a video!

White Lions Claw , dungeon, Living Story ,
Personal Story, WvsW , Guild Missions, Living Story and so much more.

Top of my list is OOC stat switching for other gear other than legendaries and it really ought to be expanded to sigils and runes.

I think they should remove all insignia plans for ascended armor and ascended armor to be reworked to allow you to swap stats on it.

It’s just too risky to make ascended armor, spend 300+ gold on it and just find out there’s a better stat distribution you didn’t know about prior to making it.

For me…

(1) Ability to save trait builds and switch out easily in the world – not unlike the dual-spec capability in WoW.
(2) Related to number (1), an equipment manager function that would allow a single click equipment change-out (to match the trait build change).

Note, these are strictly QOL issues for me…nothing urgent or deal breaking. Just things that would make the game a bit more…I don’t know…enjoyable?

1) Search by armor class in Trading Post.
2) Wardrobe to store town clothes.
3) Wardrobe to store alternate armor and weapon sets to easily change out of combat.
4) Way to easily switch out trait builds.
5) Ability to toggle an option that makes my town clothes appear whenever I’ve been out of combat for a significant amount of time.
6) Ability to get information on guild member activity. Last login. Time represented. Etc.
7) Ability to turn off achievement list completely.
8) Fully customizable UI.
9) Expanded mat storage to stack sizes that make sense for the amounts required for Ascended crafting.

1) trait/build switching, as Elothar mentioned
2) Keeping track of which dungeon paths I have completed
3) A way to easily share items with Alts(i’m thinking the unlimited tools, the salvage-o-matic and the salvage kits here). Just a convenience, as i’m already logging out at crafting stations to have the bank at hand.
4) Home-instance portal stones, or anything that allows me to go to the home instance without going to the city first.
5) Related to the previous, I would like to log-in in the home instance if I logged off there.
6) More home instance goodies: I would like a bank there, and a store that sells tools and salvage kits.
7) In-game calendar of major events.
8) “Port to Friend” that sends me to the nearest WP to a guildie/party member (if known).
9) An item (gemstore, perhaps) that allows me to unlock all the WP known to a char to the rest of the (existing) alts.

I agree with so many of the above, but I’ll try not to repeat them. -quietly +1s-

Achievements need to show which paths/locations/whatever are complete. “1 out of 4” is meaningless to me. If there are things meant to be a surprise and they don’t want to spoil it, then let the description be ambiguous or “Hidden” until players complete it, at which point it becomes a more useful description.

eta: …and of course Soronthar beat me to it ;)

Fix the stupid pickup bug that prevents you from using skills. Not Being able to attack and not knowing why is pretty annoying.

1 I’d like to have switchable traits/build option like on gw1
2 As a ranger the ability to leave my pet put away. (I don’t always need my pet)
3 To search trading post by class (armor)/ as well as level
4 The ability to trade my runes on armor.
5 To see what paths I have finish on dungeons / and which world boss I have killed so I don’t repeat.
6 a new lvl of salvage-o-matic
7 a shared bag across all characters so I can use all my unlimited farming tools and salvage machines

Would love to see:

  • An extra window added to display the health bars of mesmer illusions, consumable summons, racial summons, personal story NPCs, and most importantly necromancer minions. GW1 had a similar feature for necromancer minions. Should be toggled on and off of course.
  • Wardrobe/Service NPC that holds town clothes acquired from both in-game and gemstore methods. They implemented costume and festival hat maker NPCs in GW1 to address the issue of space in bank slots, we need it in GW2 as well.
  • NPC similar to Kimmes the Historian, or Kimmes himself, that holds HoM items at the Eye of the North in GW2, but instead holds and duplicates Living Story meta reward items and festival meta reward items. Duplicating weapon/armor skins should yield just the skin of course, so duplicating the Sclerite Shell backpiece wouldn’t yield exotic/ascended settler’s stats and such.
  • Build saving/storing, as well as the ability to link builds in chat.
  • More choices in UI, especially the ability to turn off each individual object on the screen. Would like to use the circular map from the beta weekend events, or completely toggle off the map, the chat box, the dynamic event/personal story/living story headers, and the icon scroller on the side that displays what items I picked up. Customizable UI would be great too, GW1 did it nicely.
  • Skill queue bar underneath the targeted individual’s health bar. Think back at how you could see what skills people casted in GW1 underneath their health bars once you had them targeted. It showed the name, a bar that filled up as fast as the cast time, and the icon of the skill. Would help greatly with skills that interrupt on hit.
  • “Last online” and a calendar for guilds.
