Quality of life improvements for Legendaries

Hey there,

I’ve recently been taken over with completing legendaries, and over time have had some suggestions about how to better the feel and look of completing a legendary (the weapons specifically).
The basis for a legendary weapon is that is has an effect applied to your arms or entire body in the form of an aurora or different texture (Juggernaut for example). It also gives you footfalls as well as a drawing effect. Some also have elemental damage, so killing an enemy may cause them to have a burning animation, or freezing animation.

I enjoy all of this, it really livens up the game and gives you something to ultimately work towards, end game equips basically, an extra oomph to push you farther in fashion-wars 2.

Now the one thing that gets my goat, is the arm effects on charr and large norn compared to humans/sylvari/asura. On charr characters, the arm effects are hardly visible with some legendaries. For example with rodgort, I have a male charr warrior, and the gloves completely cover up the effects, I can only see tiny specs of orange sometimes clipping through the gloves. Same thing with astralaria, but in a different way. Instead of casting the entire arm wielding the Axe in space matter, it only covers two sections of the arm, leaving a space around the elbow visible. Also depending on charr size, the yellow rings are sometimes not visible. The same applies to male norn characters, specifically the larger ones, to a lesser extent.

Also noticible, are the footfalls for charr while running on all fours. They dont match where they step, they fall only on two feet, instead of having a set of four footfalls.

While these aren’t huge problems (obviously lol), they’d just be quality of life improvements for an already awesome game. That being said, I’m very happy with legendaries as a whole, and these aren’t complaints, just something I’ve noticed that sets the different races apart while wielding legendary weapons, giving more of a drive to create a legendary weapon for one of the smaller races.

On a side note, while wielding two 1 handed legendary weapons, only the main hand legendary’s footfalls go into effect. If it were possible to have each footfall effect correspond to the side they were wielded on, I believe it would make a lot of people quite happy, myself included
