Ok, shoes aside, can someone please explain to me how Queen Jennah’s dress stays up? I mean, no straps and the top of the dress even flares out so there is no holding on there…

I’ve been thinking about this for 2 days and my only thought thus far is uncomfortable tape inside the dress.

She’s a mesmer, the dress is an illusory projection, and therefore not bound by gravity. So essentially queen Jennah walks around naked. She’s queen, she can do what she wants.

You haven’t joined the Order of Whispers, have you? Jennah’s dress is nothing compared to Riel Darkwater.

The belt keeps everything up under the waist and is kept in place by the hipbones. That leaves a lightweight top that can be kept in place easily by any woman’s pretty parts, perhaps with a tube top as underwear.

It’s not rocket science. All women have at least one piece of clothing like that. Dig around in your girlfriend’s cupboard and most likely you’ll find something based on that principle.

It’s an A-line style dress. It cinches tight below the bust. How does the top stay up? Stiffeners in the fabric. Same concept as underwire in bras – for support. (Hey, you asked).

Still, I like Conncept’s answer. Thumbs up for that one. =)

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

I also believe it to be an illusion, the queen must give out a glamorous image above all, besieged by all sides, the last beacon of humanity stands on her shoulders, those shoulders must be as strong and as silky as possible, kings and queens rely on glamor as well as on power to rule.

Although Lanfears answer seems legit as well!

Besides I wouldn’t want the queen dressed in any other way!

I am the wonder, I am the storm.

There are far more weird things than Queen Jennah’s dress.

The ruler, hammer, rope are like one stable object in this image. This is possible because of the weight hammer is positioned under the edge of the wood. And directly under the part of the ruler touching the wood.

Her dress and many dresses like hers are made possible by magic. In a fantasy world where magic exists there are things in this world that defy reality.

YOU are playing a video game that is fictitious……nuff said.

My wedding dress was a lot like Queen Jennah’s, except it was dark blue and sleeveless and that obviously wasn’t breaking or ignoring physics.

It’s fairly simple really, the ‘belt’ below her breasts holds most of the dress up and the top stays up by being stiff fabric, potentially underwired or otherwise supported and fairly tight under her arms.

Alternatively I like Conncept’s suggestion.

That may not be an option for the OP, who has been thinking about Queen Jenna’s dress for two whole days.

This thread is a prime example of how many men do not understand women, or their clothing..

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/4/43/Queen_Jennah.jpg

Its held up around her waist and just under her breasts, also i think the neck thing is a part of the dress as they seem to connect..

Edit: I think Logan needs to buy the poor lady some shoes….
