Thanks to the megaserver roll out, all servers are now participating in the Queensdale Champ train and that has brought about it’s challenges in getting everyone on the same train.

I would like to take this opportunity to attempt to get all the servers on the same champion order.

Maguuma did it this way: Troll, Bandit, Oak, Wasp, Boar.
No Spider, it’s an elite that doesn’t drop loot.
(left to right according to waypoint) Vale, Phinney, Ojon’s or Krytan

I would like to get to know your server order and maybe standardize the order so there isn’t as much confusion as to where to go next.

Thank you

Since the train’s not dead, thanks for posting. All too often, asking in map chat is fairly unhelpful.

because we only lost 1 champ.

Champs reset at 5 minutes, the train takes about 8 depending if wasp is up. Works just fine.

Might be a nice idea, if everyone peruses the forum. Usually, I just follow whoever happens to be leading it that day, on the rare occasion I do the train. Looking at Monthlies. =) Some days it is one rotation, other days, a different one.

This was really confusing last night. On our server, we’ve always done Boar -> Troll -> Oak -> then Bandit (after the patch).

Yesterday, people were doing Boar -> Oak -. Bandit -> Troll.

Couldn’t keep track and needed to do something else instead

BTW: I love doing this, just because of ‘..It’s big, it’s dead…’

Gandara does Troll-Oak-Boar.

While waiting for boar some go to Bandit.
I usually wait at boar to empty bags etc.

My server was (haven’t done it in a month or more, so don’t know if its still true or not) BOTBS, Boar → Oak → Troll → Bandit → Spider (if it lasted) with wasp/SB thrown in there somewhere whenever they were up.

Why do you make it so overly complicated. If you want lots of loot just go to orr an kill regular mobs.

On FA it was Boar, Troll, Bandit, Oak, Spider (if up – now elite and irrelevant), Wasp (if up), Boar. Lather, rinse, repeat. It seemed like mostly waiting on boar though…

Ruins of Surmia its:
Boar ? Troll ? Oak ? Bandit ? Wasp/Boar
Behe thrown into the mix when he shows up.

After behe we pick up at Oak, so Post Behe its:
Oak ? Bandit ?Boar/wasp ? Troll
Until the kill of Spider being a champ Ruins of Surmia never even bothered with Bandit, but now its felt that since you have to wait a while on boar, Bandit is best done in place of spider.

AR:

Troll, Bandit, Oak, Spider, Wasp (as spawn allows), Boar

After SB, people tend to pick up the rotation at Oak and continue per normal.

In my experience anyway..

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

Boar>Troll>Bandit>Oak and Wasp when up on the way to Boar again.

I’ve seen a few people post that they do Bandit after Oak and I don’t get it. That’s just an added waypoint that cuts into profit. It makes much more sense to run to Bandit from Troll then do Oak.

Troll > Bandit > Oak > Boar
It makes sense to run to Bandit after Troll to save a WP fee doing it in a different order. Some folks WP to Oak after Troll out of habit, but if you can get everyone to run to Bandit after Troll the train can work well.

Krytan WP for Spider and Boar (thou Spider is crap now)

Phiney WP for Oak

Vale WP for Troll and then Bandit

Back to Boar

Ehmry bay is

Boar – troll – bandit – oak

If wasp is up we kill wasp before boar.

We skip spider and SB train goes on. – some do SB but have to meet up with train after.

I do like it better when train goes on I don’t like the new SB.

Thank you all for chiming in. It appears that aside from where you choose to start in the rotation, the rotation is as I posted in the OP for the majority of those who have bothered to comment.

Any time you can reuse a waypoint for more than one boss is good, Troll → Bandit, Oak → SB → Oak, Spider → Wasp → Boar. At least in the original rotation.

I know it’s only about 1.5 silver but it still saves time and allows for the reduction of waiting time at other bosses along the chain.

Oh and for those of you who simply like to run straight to the Boar hill after whatever boss was last, Ojuns Mill waypoint is closer and you get to find out if Wasp is up or get it started while you’re there. If you keep tabs on the pre-events for wasp while hitting Ojuns Mill then we can actually do Wasp every 3-4 cycles. In most cases since we’re now on megaserver if you simply start the pre-events, someone from the open world will surely finish it while running around. The pre-events are here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Help_Slim_Mikhart_destroy_the_skritt_cave_support
It potentially has 2 pre-events itself also listed on the wiki page.

Again, thank you for contributing to the smooth and optimal operation of the Queesndale Express Line, Thank you for riding with us!

Boars first since it’s the one that has the longest respawn timer. It also has the merchant and a great hill for everyone to gather and place banner, trays, bonfires etc. It’s the Boar Station.

Basically it’s Boar, Troll, Bandit, Oak, Wasp (if available). Whenever you enter QD it’s super easy just to go to Boar and wait. The train will come by to pick you up within minutes.

FA was always left to right troll to bandit to oak to (spider when it was champ) but now to boar or wasp if up while waiting for boar, rinse and repeat. If SB starts, then train begins at oak following SB.
Never did it for loot, just for Champ Kills (monthlies). Loot is not so good, all those various colored 4 or 5 slot bags LOL

Yeah but that’s true of all of the locations lol. I usually wait at troll and pop banners there when I remember to because there are new players in that area constantly whereas the boar area isn’t really frequented by many new players, it also is near a waypoint so anyone that uses it can enjoy the public banners.

But yeah I know the formal start is boar, I was just listing them in left to right order as it is easier for new players to jump on when they know it goes in a simple direction like that across the map.

I think servers all have the same order and trains are getting mixed up for other reasons. A bigger problem than order is which do you do after SB. On my server we always restarted train at Oak after SB but now each SB is a serious threat to spawn multiple trains.

The Goderators have ruined this forum for me.

Confusion always happens after SB. It’s just a given.

We tell folks to just catch up at Boar since it’s the longest wait.

Boar > Wasp if up – usually while waiting on boar walk > Troll > Bandit > Oak > Spider

Bandit and Spider were in there because they used to be champs and gave champ credit for monthly (besides bags).

Folks tend to stick with a familiar pattern.

See, that’s the reason to avoid the area. A few players complain on here constantly about the Qd train. Even though they are by far the minority, they complain loudly. Thus avoiding the area is best. Just run in and out of Troll quickly.

Sorrow’s Furnace ran Boar→Oak→(SB if up)→Troll→Bandit→(Spider before update, Wasp if up) and then back to Boar. It was pretty great in terms of not jumping all around with wps and it flowed pretty smoothly (ignoring the inherent chaos surrounding SB when some continue the train and change the order for those who went to SB)
