I went and bought the Molten Alliance Mining Pick and the Jack-In-The-Box Scythe when they were on sale as soulbound on equip for 800 gems and the account bound Frost Wasp Logging Tool as accountbound for 1000 gems. I am wondering why players that had previously bought unlimited use gathering tools weren’t offered the option to upgrade them to accountbound through gems. I’d gladly pay 200 gems per item to upgrade it if only I had that option.

You can upgrade them ingame for free to accountbound at the black lion weapons specialist (correct me if i’m wrong).

I don’t know about soulbound. When I bought mine, pre patch, they were accountbound already…

Went and checked the Black Lion Weapons Specialist and as I remembered he offers no such service. And mine are most definitely soulbound. I’ve had the pick and the scythe since last year and gathering tools didn’t start being accountbound until this year if I’m not mistaken.

Well nevermind that I forgot to unequip them. Thank you very much for the help.
