Question about "Daily/Monthly AP"...

In the olden days of yore, it was said that the AP caps from dailies and monthlies would be 10,000 and 5,000, respectively.

The removal of the latter makes me wonder what is to become of this. It is already theoretically possible for many people to have their 10k daily AP (I’m sitting on 9370, myself), but absolutely no one can have possibly hit the monthlies’ cap, simply on account of the game not having been around enough months (62.5, at 80/mo.).

So, my question is: What is to become of these caps? I see two probable answers, although there may be others I’m unaware of.

1: The simpler option would be to simply retire monthly AP, freezing it as is, regardless of the inequity it causes among players, including those who joined after monthlies were retired.

2: The two are merged into a single 15,000-capped “Daily” label, which everyone will (eventually) be able to reach, even people just starting out.

Has Arenanet yet given an answer to this?

Pretty sure they said they were merging the two back when Monthlies were removed. Thus, the new cap is 15,000.

Ah, I must have missed the memo – and the UI still shows three numbers (Permanent, Daily, and Monthly), so if it is intended, it doesn’t look to yet be implemented.
