So when you go underwater the stats currently on your head slot are exchanged for the ones on your breather. I’m just wondering how this apply’s to runes. I notice I do not get the bonus of my breather unless it is equipped, so am I to assume that each time I’m underwater I do not have the 6 piece bonus from my runes? I would only have 5, unless the breather had one as well correct?

I believe this is how it works, as your breather does replace your head gear whenever you are underwater.

Meaning you would need a run in your helm to match your normal armor set……i havnt tested it personally yet tho so dont quote me.

You will need 7 runes if you want to have the six piece bonus both on land and under water.

Although, I haven’t tested this with such a high number of runes, only with the minor runes.

Dang, I had a feeling that was the case. Don’t really want to spend the gold but oh well, thanks for confirming it.

I’ve tested it in the mists. It’s true, even tho the tooltip will show the wrong thing, the breather only contributes when you’re underwater and the regular helm only contributes when you’re above water.

^confirmed, tested it with superior rune of the soldier, shouts do not remove conditions while underwater(found that out the hard way)
