Will be the new expansion like HoT where you forced to team up with like 60 people to complete a map ?
Or will be more like in vanilla , with public events ?
Thank you in advance

I’m sure there will be Group Events as well as the Renown Hearts and regular events. There are Adventures, as well.

No one, but the Devs, knows everything about the maps, or will know until release in September.

Good luck.

Wait until the beta test at the weekend and we’ll find out.

The beta is open to everyone who has GW2, so even if you haven’t pre-purchased PoF you’ll get to try it.

HoT’s multi-group design only requires ~20 people. This design was originally created to split up the population in season 1, since the maps were always active because the content was temporary. It simply doesn’t work for permanent content however, nor is it futureproof, so I doubt they’ll try it again. To effectively use this design, it needs to be built similar to an activity, where you queue in and each objective is a separate team.

Season 3 has already gone back to the small group design. If the maps in PoF are still limited to ~100 people, considering they’re also much larger and likely lack waypoints, they’re going to feel dead even when they’re full. In this case, it will likely continue in the style of core, where most events are solo content. Simply considering how HoT went, PoF will likely overall be the opposite of HoT.
