Question about cultural skins/transmute
Is this even possible? It shouldn’t be if it is.
I don’t think there would be a way to get around transmuting more than once. Other races can not wear any Cultural Armor skins but their own.

Yeah no way around it… at least Transmutation charges are free
Just tested it. Transmuted my human elementalist’s ascended head piece to a human cultural skin, then unequipped and tried to put it on my norn mesmer. My norn could not equip it, ‘Required race: Human’ was high lighted in red in the description
There are a few skins you can transmute to that don’t require transmutation charges, these are the radiant/hellfire skins from achievement point chests and the heritage armors from owning GW1. You can use these to transfer the items without the need for extra transmutation charges.
If you have ascended armor transmuted to a cultural set (lets say, Norn), and you want to send it to another character of a difference race (lets say, Sylvari), and transmute it to that characters cultural armor, is there anyway to avoid having to use double the transmute charges?
Because its kinda lame if you have to spend 6 charges to change the armor to a neutral set to equip on your other character, and then another 6 to transmute it to that characters cultural armor.

Remember when transmuting used the old crystals and you could open a separate UI not part of the wardrobe / equipment tab and just … transmute anything? I sure do.

A 20+ long drop down list? In which you have to know the name of the item without being able to preview the style…?

Which is as low as 6, if, as noted above, one has unlocked any of the no-transmutation-cost armor.

It could just be a “right click – reset skin” thing.
or the wardrobe can allow you to transmute without equipping an item although that will probably lead to people not paying attention to what they are doing and make things bound to the wrong character so reset is probably safest.
